The Repubs won’t vote for it out in the open. 49 in the Senate have signed on to a resolution calling the inquiry a farce. Tell me how that jibs with what you just said..... Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted October 28, 2019 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted October 28, 2019 The GOP is done if they impeach Trump period. There is zero chance that happens. I don't doubt there are some RINO's that would like to or even will vote to impeach him but not a snowballs chance in hell they get to 67 votes in the Senate. I still doubt the house will ever draw and vote on official articles of impeachment.

After the recess, Mueller retracted his statement as he was on record as telling Barr and Rosenstein the Ruling wan't the reason Trump wasn't charged The position by the DOJ's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) that a sitting president cannot be indicted was first determined in a 1973 memo during the midst of the Watergate scandal, which soon thereafter led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon as he faced articles of impeachment. "The spectacle of an indicted president still trying to serve as Chief Executive boggles the imagination," the memo stated. In 2000, after reexamining its 1973 position, the OLC reaffirmed its position that a sitting president could not be indicted in a 39-page memo. In 1973, the Department concluded that the indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting President would impermissibly undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions... We believe that the conclusion reached by the Department in 1973 still represents the best interpretation of the Constitution.

XCR1250
He also said he was prevented from charging Trump if you read it all. After office he said could be a different story.
