That is what makes this whole rhetoric so sad.  The discussions always seem to come back to the "bad" elements.  Seems like a dangerous thought process to lump everyone into the same category.  It isn't too hard to look at history around the world and see how that has gone.

I wonder how much of this would even equate to discussion if we were talking about white Europeans?  The interesting part about making blanket policy decisions is how it affects everyone.

Trumps disgusting rhetoric appeals to the lowest common denominator....just look above your quote.

Exactly....99.9% of those crossing the border just wanna work and try to get their families out of starving suffocating poverty

Bullshit.   I'm not saying the % isn't pretty high that want that but there is plenty criminal element coming as well as people looking for the govt to take care of them.   No way to put an actual percentage on it.

How does informing a specific population of their rights under our laws and constitution translate into "helping criminals evade law enforcement"?

It costs taxpayers $775/person/day to run these concentration camps.

I'd gladly feed, clothe, house, and care for anyone if the government wants to pay me that much. I'll build a huge mansion for us all for that kind of money.

If you're a bootlicker, that's how it works.

You should do it for free.  You don't need to be paid to do what you believe in.

So what's the answer?   Open borders?  Double the current 1 million per year we let in legally?   Triple?

In the same sense that we shouldn't lump everyone into the "bad" elements the pro immigration crowd never has an answer to what we should "allow" coming in.

I wish I had a simple answer.  I do know the process for the legal status immigrants we do allow.  I also know how difficult it is to enter legally.  The current process is aimed at victims of political enemies or people with a lot of money and resources.  I get the money thing.  They are bringing money and often contributing to better communities.

Almost all of us are descendants of immigrants.  I'm not sure how many of those relatives came over with a pile of cash?   Most of us did eventually become contributing members to our communities.  We came with hope and raised families.

So you'll sit there supporting illegal activities but won't partake in it.

Yep.  Coward just like Canadian Liberals who open their arms to illegals but not their homes.

Sorry but even legal immigration of the past is not the right formula for today much less how many are here illegally.   Past policies are not always the answer.   I think there are plenty of policies that were legal and practiced in the US in the past that we don't want returned.

Even with the legal process being difficult we allow in more people than anywhere in the world.

Personally I think much of our immigration both legal and mainly illegal is modern day slavery.   Sure come on in....do the "shit jobs" American's won't.   We'll pay you crap and pick up the tab for your social services.  We'll let you in on a work visa because you are cheaper than your American counterpart.   The hypocrisy is astounding.

Face it.   The left wants cheap labor and votes and the right wants cheap labor.   Screw the ave American who wages are stagnated because of the millions of people here legally thru work visa's or illegally.
