Considering how Trudeau knew charges were coming against Norman and publicly saying so tipped his hand (stupidly again I may add) that his office is/was working with the RCMP for political reasons as it's the only way he'd know charges were coming. So it only stands to reason that they used political influence to close this case down before it even began.
