Re:  Notice – Counterfeit PowerSharp Products

It has recently come to our attention that a counterfeit PowerSharp sharpener is being advertised and sold on various websites throughout Europe and North America.

In some cases, these counterfeit products are being sold with an Oregon brand label that is very similar to an authentic Oregon product label. Please be aware that this product is not authorized by Blount and has no affiliation with the Oregon brand.

There is also the possibility that this counterfeit product is not being sold with saw chain that is compatible with the sharpening unit, which can pose a number of safety hazards to the user. Authentic Oregon PowerSharp products always mention that a compatible saw chain is required for use with PowerSharp in advertising and other marketing materials.

Below are images of the counterfeit product and an authentic Oregon PowerSharp product for reference:

Blount’s legal team has launched a full investigation into the origin of this product. Should you receive customer questions or complaints about this counterfeit product, please contact your Oregon Sales and Marketing Specialist to report it.

Thank you for your continued support of Oregon products.

Regards,

so how well do those work any way ? saw a video and they look slick as shit .  but then video can make anything look like it works well

Works great, Ive used it hundred of times. They dont make them for big CC saws, and the chain you have to use is low kick back safety chain.. Its pretty much meant for the homeowner. But legit works and works well, I demo it by cutting into a cinder block and then a piece of wood, obviously it wont cut worth a shit, clamp the sharpener on and give it a few bumps, and boom, right through the wood.. The draw back is you have to have a powersharp chain, which a lot of dealers might not have in stock, so you could be SOL if you had a chain failure and need a new loop on the quick.

If you want me to get you a price or see if they make it for your saw just get me the make and model of your saw and ill look it up.

That's what the inside looks like, it's just a spring loaded stone that clamps on the bar, and the powersharp chain compared to a standard 91 series safety chain
