Edmo
The last day I rode this year I lead a group of 7. I counted 15 sleds on my side of the trail that day, most of them in the middle of turns. We only did about 100 miles that day.

Everyone and their brother were out that day because they knew it was close to the end. I usually try to get out Thursday night so I can have at least one day without too many idiots. f7ben
It certainly should be illegal to own a snowmobile. Without question..... For anyone who lives in a city bigger than 25k , anyone who lives in Illinois....or anyone who owns a pit coat. 1

Wisconsin trails are already so fucking narrow that sometimes there isnt even room for 2 way traffic. Towards the end of our trip a couple weeks ago on Friday riding back to the truck I rubbed skis with a couple oncoming sleds. Just get in before dark when all of the drunks are out! And northern Maine usually never sucks.

Is it getting worse? I rode over 2000 miles every year in Wisconsin from 1990 to 2007 and never rubbed skis with an oncoming sled. Ever. Had my share of close ones but never made contact. Platinum Contributing Member steve from amherst Posted March 21, 2019 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted March 21, 2019 When those smaller tighter trails get hammered the corners get so banked both sleds are riding the same line. Gold Member BOHICA Posted March 21, 2019 Gold Member Share Posted March 21, 2019 For east of the Missouri River snowmobile owners....... 25mph speed limits on all trails and manufacture installed 25mph top speed limiters, with annual inspection of sled upon annual registration renewals and tamper seals installed on equipment used by the manufacture to limit to the top speed to 25. Trail riding is gay as a bag of dicks and needs big brother to regulate it.

I propose that only extremely skilled riders be allowed in the back country. No posers , no snowriders, no geriatrics.

Yeah I like the "atmosphere" of the weekends but that's about it. Sucks to have to take that much more work off but I'm going back to it after this year.
