Yes many have overstayed Visa's. We have anywhere from 600K to a million coming in illegally or staying illegally. If you cannot see that as a huge issue/crisis/emergency then so be it. Many American's do. It would be like 100K coming into Canada illegally a year and 3 million there illegally. If you think for a second that would go over well in Canada you are kidding yourselves. Some did some didn't. Yes they were split on it but in order to get more border security an easy path to citizenship was the price. I wouldn't accept that either. Yes I do put much of the blame on the GOP for not getting things done when they had more ability to do so. But remember with the filibuster its not as easy as a SC confirmation.
