irv
I rode without studs for years on my 95 XLT SP but I did miss them, somewhat, as my 93 XLT SP prior to it had them. With the 1.25 track and normally riding in good/great conditions and with the XLT not being a power house, I managed without them. When I purchased my Vector, which came already studded, I realized how much improvement there was running them. When I gave my XLT to my son the first thing I did was stud it before he even rode it.
