Ontario’s economy is already booming.  I’m not sure how Doug is going to improve that, but here’s hoping he can without fucking it up for anyone else.

Well, if he can't balance the budget when unemployment is this low then he's fucked.

If he can do what he says....ie lower fuel and hydro that is huge for industry in Ontario.

Give him a chance.  He might actually be good.

Absolutely.

I’m hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. I’ve set my expectations so low, he’s bound to meet them.

No it's not.  It's running at about 2% GDP growth, but the longer term is expected to be 1.5%, Doug is not gonna change that, neither is Trudeau.  The best plan is the one that understands that and adapts to it.

You need a long term vision of what you want to city to look like in say 20-40 years, not a short sighted one of this is all we can afford today.

I have said this before, transit needs to move large amounts of people and LRT's that interact with cars is not the way.  End of discussion.

LTRs dont are not street cars that is ROB talking

Tory has got more done in his 3 year than Rob could have done in a life time.  Opening up Vaughan is just one goal made

Rob canceled a working plan to get his agenda in, he ended up doing nothing but canceling a working contract

ROB was the worst Mayor in history of the world but did have a good heart

I don't care if it's called a subway or LRT, it needs to move large amounts of riders without disrupting any traffic, period.

He is in for a LESSON in governing - being a councilor is a cake walk compare to what he is in for.  Having a Costed Plan means nothing now.

thankfully our government don't have a single handed almighty LEADER -

Can't wait for his first outburst just to find out the guy in the CHAIR has some huge clout  this isn't city councilor Mr. Ford

If we get a tax cut year 3 it will be good

Lol compared to the last government who were basically a pack of wild shit throwing retards

he cant do worse

2.7% is similar to recent US growth

:dunno:

2017 Annual Highlights
  • Ontario’s real GDP advanced by 2.7% in 2017, following a 2.6% gain in 2016.
  • Growth in 2017 was broadly-based, supported by gains in consumer spending and business investment.
  • Nominal GDP rose by 4.5% in 2017, after increasing 4.3% in 2016.
  • Economic production, measured on an industry basis, increased 2.8% in 2017, with gains in both the goods (+1.7%) and service (+3.1%) producing industries.

LTRs don't have anything to do with traffic or cars or bikes - its a dedicated route

No,

The next decade does not have greater than 2% growth for Canada regardless of who is steering the ships, federally or provincially.

I have no doubt Ontario will continue to be leader in Canada by alot just like always

Canadian' s tend to not hear about governments and the chaos, as it is now with Toronto council you just hear a blurb here and there.

Ontario was like that but I think its going to change wiht DOUG
