I agree, which is why Trump going in without giving a fuck, and letting the hammer fall on only one group of people shows how idiotic his actions are.

Neal

Its not one group of people. You just don't care about lincolns , Harley Davidsons or jack daniels. because they are not your product. And who is being closed minded?

There is a reason we have a huge trade deficit. Not just because we buy their trinkets. It’s almost impossible to sell them anything with their protectionist policies. This has been going on for a long time. Maybe it’s time for the hammer!

If the leaders in China tell the people to stop buying American, they will. China will not paint themselves into a corner either. As for trump, he’s emotionally reactive enough to do just that.

The Chinese even though they have more to lose than us will out tough us in this trade war, we have less than 60 days to go and the Chinese have ignited many Trump voters in the heartland, the pressure is on Trump.

I think getting China to negotiate on trade is bigger than one group of people.  My products are already tariffed at 25% going into China Vince, how about yours?  Considering you don't sell a fucking thing outside that murderous ceaspool of Shitcago maybe you should respect what others are saying that there needs to be something done with China and trade.

Listen the other day you wuz telling us about them thar farmers while ya'll were sittin in the pickup truck durin deer season, and goddammit all I wanted to do was tell about this old boy who happens to be an Iowa farmer whose a big gaffer in the soybean association, and you know he wrote that piece in the OP, I just thought you'd interested goddammit.....

It's like a tear in the hands of a western man, he'll tell you about, carbon and water....

But a tear to an Oriental man, he'll tell you about sadness and sorrow..........

HD has been in decline for a long time.

Yes they have , so one would think you would be real concerned about sales in an emerging market for them. Did you sleep last night with HD on your mind?

I'm much more invested and concerned with beef though.  Calfs were due to go to the sale barn Tuesday but bad road conditions prevented sending em in.  Wonder what the prices will be next week.  :shitstorm:

Neal

Cool, I would of never pegged you for a farmer.

Well I would see that as unrealistic, given that the US exports soybeans to Mexico.

What would you say if the strong US dollar caused Mexico to import less US ag product?

You obviously haven't been around farmers very much.   A percentage are very grateful of what support the country gives them.   A percentage will complain if their ice cream is cold.   Go into any farm community cafe or bar right now and its easy to tell one from the other.   One group is already pissing and moaning about the weather while the other just sits there quietly.  Its a running joke in any farm community how quickly some of them will complain.

And just what do you think a "big gaffer in the soybean association" is suppose to say?    Gee I'm glad we are finally playing hardball with China.

The fact is not one of you are against this for any reason other than its Trump doing it or you have skin in the game with soybeans.   If Obama or Clinton would have it would have been praised from the mountain tops.

I really have to laugh.   I really do.   All this talk about Russia this and Russia that.   How they are still commies and out to get us all the while showing ZERO concern with where the real communist threat is coming from.

We need China and they need us.  I don't care that we produce and buy stuff from China.   We have to because we consume more than we can produce.   But the playing field needs to be evened out some because for decades about the only group who has done well with them is Agriculture.  I don't care if Trump is doing this to satisfy some voters or if he really feels in his heart its the right thing to do because IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

Same damn guys for years been saying we need to even the field now are upset.   I'm willing to take a bit of financial pain in the short term so more American's benefit from a better trade balance with China and other countries......are you?

I have lots of plans, my income is fairly diversified.

Why is it you seem to give Trump a pass on this, and debate with an agent producer instead of being critical of this administration's poor handling and leadership that is creating a trade war?

You didn't answer the question btw...

Because I voted for the asshole for 2 reasons.

1, get rid of Mexicans that are destroying prices in my industry ( I'm sure you can relate to one wanting to protect their own industry)

2, Put a stop to unfair trade practices with China.

If he is successful with just those 2 things while fucking every porn star there is  I will consider his presidency a success.
