America's health is declining -- and corporations are stoking this crisis

He is spot on. Food companies are knowingly poisoning us. Eating healthy is not easy and it's not cheap. Wife and I have been on a restorative health program for 9 months. Very few options while shopping and eating out is next to impossible when you look at all of the ingredients.

I get why they do it, it would be crazy expensive to produce foods that expire in 2 weeks but the fact is our bodies are not used to consuming alot of these ingredients and it's taking a toll. Look at the rises in obesity, diabetes, gluten intolerance, auto immune, ADHD, cancer, autism, depression, etc... These foods are destroying our digestive system and our health. Try even buying non GMO or organic vegetables, it ain't that easy.

They knowingly produce foods that create a high insulin response. In turn it leads to over eating and low levels of satiation. It’s why people over eat. It’s about profit over public health with all the major food producers. Some cunts are simply too stupid to see it.

No, it’s about supply and demand.  Enriched flours, sugers, oils and fats are cheap...and taste yummy! If anybody consuming these in mass quantities on a daily basis thinks they are eating healthy, well....can somebody give them a sign?  Maybe borrow one from somebody still smoking a pack a day because they enjoy it.

Want an example of profit over public health?  Look at our GUBMENT RUN public school lunch program.

IF you don't want to be honest with others at least be honest with yourself. The drop in life expectancy is from the opioid crisis. When 20 somethings start dropping left and right its brings the numbers down.

Fentanyl imported from China is the culprit. People have been doing heroin for 75 years and not dying. Fentanyl is what's killing everybody. Maybe action figure should put his suit on and head over to China and slay the Beast.

Not at all. Food companies have highly trained nuritionalist and chemists that work together to mfg foods that produce strong hormonal reactions.  It’s no different than when Phillips Morris began processing tobacco with ammonia to increase the drug seeking capacity of the drug nicotine. Food companies are totally aware of how the various combination of ingredients effect hormonal responses in the body. People eat bad shit to excess not because it tastes good, they eat because of how the food effects reward pathways in the brain because of said hormonal responses. If a person starts to eat whole food then cravings disappear. Food companies could easily produce healthy processed foods that taste good and are inexpensive. But those foods wouldn’t incite the same hormonal responses and subsequent food cravings.

Most people are too stupid to understand the science of food and nutrition. The other myth is that being of normal weight means that your healthy. More people than not can eat these shitty foods and keep a “healthy” BMI. That doesn’t mean that they’re healthy.

I get it.  Food companies produce things that taste good so people eat and buy more of it.  Imagine that insanity.  I’d hardly call that a criminal affair as most companies strive for a product consumers will continue to use again and again, in quantities.

So, let’s try to go to a solution for this then.  Since it’s clear food companies are already heavily regulated and there isn’t a single product on a grocery shelf that is not approved by our illustrious government officials, what do you think they should do?  Be made to use better ingredients?  Less GMO’s? Less preservatives?  Less pesticides? Maybe only produce a product locally to ensure freshness.  Course, they’d have to overnight fruits and vegetables to colder climates. We could all pick out the worms and insects at home.  All of this food would be for sure void of any and all gluten or any other substance that may upset wittle tummies.

’Course, the consumers would all have to pay for this...so, that’d be a nice healthy grocery increase of say, well....probably 2-300%.  Now of course, if one wouldn’t or couldn’t pay for that, they’d better get into farming real fast cuz, anything considered less than “pure” and stamped “US GOV APPROVED” would be outlawed.

Why am I envisioning a scene from the dark ages?  “HEY YOU OVER THERE!!!!  Is that bread gluten free???  TO THE GALLOWS FOR YOU!!!!”

My point is here, and Moto will hate me for this, while our capitalistic system isn’t perfect by a long damn shot, it’s the best thing going for our citizens by a good sight.  Does this system require an ever vigilant consumer always willing to take just a few seconds to read a tad bit of information?  Absolutely.  Will most do that?  Absolutely not.

Now, enough digression.  To go to your “skinny unhealthy” people comment, yes, I am well aware that size (of normal weight) is not the only indicator of overall health. In fact, I only view that as a secondary indicator.  Maybe even third.  Our “normal weights” as seen by insurance companies (Hint,Hint...wink, wink) has been outdated for 50 years!  Cuz, according to them, I’ve been obese since the 10th fucking grade!
