  1. Oh and Robbie Schachle is a complete bad ass. There are few people on the planet that can ride/drive a motorized vehicle like he can. In 2017 he was asked to ride for a low budget Skidoo team in the Soo 500. He had never raced the Soo before and had little oval racing experience outside of some cintage stuff in Alaska. So Robbie shows up the day before the race. Never even sat on the sled before race day. Their team qualified like 38th or something. They were 14mph slower than the fastest teams. When Robbies turn behind the bars comes up they were in about 35th place. In 75 laps Robby gets them up to 17th. The team owner gets back on and they immediately drop to about 30th. Robbie gets back on and is in 9th when they pull him off the sled. Team owner drops back to about 25th during his ride. Robbie gets the last turn on the sled. He makes his way up to about 4th and the bottom of the ski rubs through and takes out the spindle. He ran about 10 laps with no carbide. He was passing teams with basically 1 ski. They came in with about 25 laps to go and changed the ski and spindle and ended up finishing 11th or something like that. Robbie is a very rare individual. Riding 700 miles in 10-11 hours is nothing for him.
  2. Hahaha. Not a woman thing or anything like that. I wont get into the details but the basic premis is that half of the team wasnt doing their part to prepare to be competative for the race. It cost nearly $50k for a team to be competative in this race. Much of that can be raised by sponsors for some teams. Some teams foot most of the bill themselves. The winners get $100k this year. Thats a lot of money. There is a lot of sacrifice that goes into preparing for and competing in this race. Robbie stepped onto the saddle of Team 20 the day before the start of the race. It was a huge surprise to most fans but lots of people saw the it coming. 90 minutes after the green flag dropped Robbie realized what he was in for. I would appreciate it if this doesnt get posted anywhere else. I feel fairly safe mentioning it on this obscure website. Reality is most people close to the Irondog know way more details than Im revealing here.
  3. My FIL is 86. He had a 1 car roll over wreck last summer. No idea what happened. No mechanical failure with the car. He was the only person in the car. My wife and 3 siblings got together to discuss his future behind the wheel. My wife and I said its time to revoke his license or at least make him complete a driver safety course and retake his driving test. The other 3 dipshits said we were being mean and it would devastate him to lose his transportation. Obviously we got overruled and FIL is still driving. Not only that he asked us for $5000 so he could buy a new car. The other 3 are broke ass Chicago liberals with no money to help. They went so far as to call us heartless for not forking over the $$$ so “dad” could get a new car. I said “pound sand mother fuckers” when he kills someone its not gonna be on me. Its unbelievable how liberal city fucks think. The state of Illinois had no issue what so ever giving an 86 year old guy back his license even after he had a nasty 1 car rollover crash.
  4. So there is a huge back story to Team 20. I cant post it here or anywhere for that matter but lets just say the drama started weeks before the start of the Irondog. Robbie was asked to be the riding partner the day before the race when the original partner pulled out at the last minute. After nearly a week on the trail Team 20 scratched in Unalakleet today. Well the story doesnt end there. No flights out of UK today so about 7pm tonight Robbie said Fuck It im just gonna ride 700 miles to Fairbanks by myself Robbie struck out tonight on the trail. His transponder has been turned off. I know he made it to Galena by 8pm and Ruby by 9pm. The express fuel stop at Huntington Bible Camp was told to look for him by about 10pm. He shoukd get to Tanana by 11pm. Followed by Manley by midnight or so. Knowing Robbie he will probably hold up in Manley and wait for the release of all the teams by 8am Saturday. I bet he lets the first 3 teams go and then will jump on and haul ass. I bet Robbie is the first rider to the finish line tomorrow and I bet he does it after giving the leaders a 30 minute lead. Hahahahaha. This is the most incredible Irondog ever.
  5. Ummmmm. Isn’t it called a metatarsal? He broke his foot not his hand.
  6. Wow. This guy had a mental disorder or was it a disease? Hard to keep those two straight these days.
  7. Another great writeup Kyle. So a few more details if you have room or time. Team 6 made great time from Galena to Manley. They ended up in 2nd place about 35 minutes behind Team 10 and 8 minutes ahead of Team 14. Their strategy of stopping in Galena didn't necessarily pay off but it wasn't a bad move either. Team 14 has some rear suspension issues. BIG B sent a satphone text to his wife early this morning telling her to get with CC Skidoo and get a torque arm headed to Manley. I'm not positive what broke but you could see it in their speeds south of Ruby. Team 10 continued to stretch their lead for the 200 miles leading up to Manley. I dont have any other details or know whether they were able to get the parts but once they go back on the clock in the morning they will need to do the repairs so it could cost them some precious minutes. We will see as soon as the transponders start pinging in the morning.
  8. Me neither, not even one puff off of one cig. For whatever reason the kids I hung with in High school and college didn't smoke. My parents didn't smoke. My dads parents didn't smoke but my moms parents both smoked well into their 80's. I will never forget my gramma was about 85 and she tells the family that she has decided to quit smoking. Everyone was like, why quit now. She passed away at 93. Had dementia and alzheimers. I will puff on a swisher sweet or backwoods honeyberry once or twice a month at most.
  9. Yep. She is a pile of shit just like the rest of them. The one big difference is she is a stupid pile of shit.
  10. Hahaha. Well, I woke up this morning thinking the front runners would be almost to Tanana and possibly headed on the Manley for their last stop before the push home to FBX tomorrow morning. Team 10 and Team 14 were almost to Tanana and making great time. Team 6, in 3rd place just a few minutes behind Team 14, stopped and declared a LO in Galena. While this isn't terribly unusual it was a little strange. All 3 teams had taken a 10hr LO in Kaltag. All 3 Teams got to Galena only 1 hour down the trail, within about 20 minutes of one another. Teams 10 and 14 kept on going and ran for a few hours and made it all the way to Manley several hundred miles down trail. When Team 6 got to Galena they knew they were making good time and they actually really closed the gap on the second place team, (14). Team 6 ran the section from Kaltag to Galena 10 minutes faster than Team 14 and 1 minute faster than the Race Leaders. They knew this when they entered the checkpoint because they can ask the checkers for details on the teams in front of them. It was 2am. They had just come off a 10hr LO and rode for 1hr then took another 10hr LO. It just seemed strange to me. I posted the question on the ID Group page and no one had a logical explanation on why they would stop in the middle of the night after only riding 1hr. Especially seeing how they made up so much time on the teams right in front of them. I mean they couldn't literally see Team 14's tail lights but they could see on the stats sheet that they gained 10 minutes on Team 14 in only 1hrs time. Another very interesting thing about Team 6. They thought they blew up entering Koyuk on the Norton Sound. They messed around for 20+ minutes before they realized the motor wasn't seized it was the primary clutch that seized and it had grabbed the belt so tight it stopped the motor and you couldn't even pull the motor over with the starter rope. After dinking around for 20 minutes they decided it was just the clutch. Eye witness reports are they removed the seized weights, ramps and rollers out of the clutch and it freed right up and the motor started. They decided to "unscratch" and get back in the race. Here's where it gets weird. They are running a primary with 1/3 of the weights out of it. You would think the motor would over rev and vibrate and just be all mixed up but they have been running nearly 100MPH the whole way down the coast. The were one of the fastest teams from Nome to Kaltag. Even with their 20-30 minute delay in Koyuk they made time on the teams in front of them. No one can point to a time when they changed the primary and the locals in Koyuk said they left with a primary that was missing 1/3 of it's important parts. How the heck are they able to go so fast with a primary so messed up?

  12. Ummm. I know a place where you can stuff that karma............. The weather is shit everywhere......... except where I am.
  13. Wow, not real attractive color combinations. Who would actually buy one of these sleds?
  14. JUSSIE Smollett told officers he has a drug problem as they arrested him for allegedly staging a "racist and homophobic" street attack to boost his career, according to US reports. Cops later said the Empire star had bought ecstasy from one of the brothers said to have helped him https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8486826/jussie-smollett-drug-problem-claim-ecstasy/
  15. Actor Jussie Smollett's character will no longer be a part of the final two episodes of season 5 of FOX's 'Empire' in an effort to 'avoid further disruption on set,' a statement from the show's executive producers reads.
  16. I don't think he's married??? Is it really that big a deal? He should be able to get all the pussy he wants without having to buy a prostitute. A prostitute is no doubt the cheapest route though.

Hahahaha. Nailed it. Ben is the Allstate Mayhem Man.
  18. Does it have a Mass Airflow Sensor? If so you should start by removing and cleaning that. The MAF is one of the most undermaintaind and most important component in the entire fuel system.
  19. Hahahahaha. That is so funny no matter how many times I've see it.

Hahahaha. Ben is the most awesome poster on this forum. Fucks up daily and not afraid for a second to admit it. It takes most guys here weeks if not months to admit their faults. Ben admits them daily..... HAhahahaha
  21. Watch the video. Point out the difficult part. Keep doing it the hard way. No matter to me. I R&R lots more skids than you ever will. I prefer to do it the easiest way possible.
  22. Well you are the exception, not the rule.
  23. Exactly, there is no manhandling the sled what so ever. They tip right over. Any sled will, regardless of make or model. As Tomas posted above, once he saw the "flip on side" method it was a game changer. No reason to do it any other way. Its so much easier that way. I've R&R'd no less than 250 skids in my life. I like to do it the easy way. I R&R's 4 skids last week. Irondog boys were crying for help.
