  1. That must hurt! A celebrity who "doesn't" believe in MMGW. Better get Al Gore, Dicaprio, Bill Nye and those other scientists on high alert to have a talk with this boy!! BTW, how's that new carbon emitting, polluting propane furnace working out for you, hypocrite?
  2. Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency also reported on the protests at Amir Kabir, stating that pictures of Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s top general who had been killed in a U.S. air strike over a week ago, were being ripped up by demonstrators. Accounts that shared the unverified footage on social media said that the protests were happening at both Sharif University and Tehran University, as well as on the streets of Tehran. The footage later showed that as protests delved further into the night, Iranian security forces began using teargas, live ammunition and water cannons to disperse the crowds. https://globalnews.ca/news/6398794/iranian-protest-downed-ukrainian-aircraft/
  3. Protest erupts after Iran admits to shooting down Ukrainian aircraft https://globalnews.ca/news/6398794/iranian-protest-downed-ukrainian-aircraft/ Protesters took to the streets in Iran Saturday demanding justice over the shooting of a Ukrainian airliner that took the lives of all 176 on board. Videos of the protest show what looks to be hundreds of Iranians in front of Amir Kabir University raising their fists, chanting and clapping their hands. A candlelit vigil was held earlier at the university for the victims of the shooting. Demonstrators in Tehran held signs written in Farsi, including the number 752 — the number of the Ukrainian International Airlines flight — before the vigil erupted in protest.
  4. Iranians now furious with Iran’s government. https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/goldstein-iranians-now-furious-with-irans-government According to Reuters, 1,500 demonstrators were killed by Iran’s security forces during these protests — including units of Soleimani’s Revolutionary Guard — with at least 7,000 more arrested. But, as Alinejad also noted, Iran’s dictators orchestrated Soleimani’s funeral to project a false international image of Iranians united under their rule. For example, the Iranian media is heavily controlled by the government, which shut down the Internet for five days during the anti-government demonstrations. “Public gatherings are only allowed if they are pro-regime. Critics are jailed or shot … so it’s not hard to use all the tools and resources of the state to stage a funeral procession,” Alinejad wrote. “The government … forced students and officials to attend (Soleimani’s funeral). It provided free transport and ordered shops to shut down … First-graders … were encouraged to cry for Soleimani.” Many Iranians consider Soleimani a war criminal, Alinejad concluded, but western journalists tend to ignore them, thus re-enforcing the myth perpetrated by Iran’s leaders that Iranians are united behind them.
  5. We got absolutely nothing here either. It's colder out and we got a tiny bit of snow and that's it but it sounds bad for some in the states. Nine dead, flights cancelled, power out as winter storms hit the U.S. https://torontosun.com/news/world/nine-dead-flights-cancelled-power-out-as-winter-storms-hit-the-u-s/wcm/c12b65d9-f143-43ef-8384-4f710a80d48b

    Step down

A National hero? The assassinations of Soleimani and al-Muhandis gave some Middle East residents a sense of relief that they have finally been rid of two militia commanders who have brought much suffering to their communities. The debate around Soleimani and al-Muhandis' assassinations has served to illustrate, once again, the inconsistent perception by a segment of the "progressive" left of what constitutes "imperialism". They readily brand US and Israeli actions as imperialist; yet aggression by others - whether Russia, China, Iran or their allies - which causes equal damage and civilian deaths, is ignored, downplayed, or wrapped in "anti-terror" narratives (rather similar to the ones the US and Israel use). Thus, US and Israeli attacks on the Iranian forces or the Assad regime have been decried as acts of imperialism while the mass killings of Syrian civilians by occupying powers Iran and Russia have been ignored, questioned or presented as "terrorist" deaths. https://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/soleimani-anti-imperialist-hero-200105211451136.html
  7. Funny how they have more U.S. flags than the Dems do.
  8. Hopefully everything changes, yet again, and it misses us. Not looking forward to being without power for any length of time. The genny is full of gas and I have almost 5 gals of backup gas just in case but I'd rather not get into all that.
  9. For sure, and just when they were really gaining traction and getting very popular. I recently watched, "If I leave here tomorrow" It was a good doc, but very sad, of course. My music choices are pretty diverse but I'd have to say, Skynyrd is my favorite band of all time. Unbelievable how good they actually were.
  10. Nice!! My wife and I seen them 2 summers ago in Toronto, and although the concert was excellent, imo, nothing would have beat seeing the originals live in concert!
  11. Wow! And some people wonder why we have time outs nowadays instead of spankings. What did the kid do, exactly, to warrant that kind of beating?
  12. A freezing rain warning just issued for here now. https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?on11#143336769772267043202001110503ww1171cwto Have a great trip, Blackstar.
  13. I don't even know why I bother??? We lost 71,000 jobs the previous month and gained less than half those back in December, but you want to break out the Champagne and caviar?!?!? Tell me, Trail, serious question. Are you really this stupid or are you just trolling ???
  14. Don't blame you! Once you get east of Port Hope/Cobourg, it can be a whole new world down that way.

    Weird

Do some reading and also check out the links further down the page. Holocene, Miocene, etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pliocene We were suppose to have an above average/normal winter this year with lots of snow and cold but the people, who have actually been labeled Doctors/climate scientists in their field, have done a complete 180. Like you mentioned, they can't predict the next 12 hours let alone anything beyond that. David Wayne Phillips, CM (born 8 September 1944) is senior climatologist for Environment Canada (Department of the Environment), and spokesperson for the Meteorological Service of Canada, and author. Born: 8 September 1944, Windsor, Ontario Works written: The Climates Of Canada, The C... Nationality: Canada https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Phillips_(climatologist)
  16. It's almost +10 here and just started raining like a mo-fo. The latest weather update doesn't show us getting any freezing rain here but it's a different story just 20 minutes north of me in Port Perry and the surrounding area.
  17. These cars are like fine pieces of art. They are, for the most part, collected/purchased for investment purposes only. The money some of these people have, most of us on here can't relate to. 3.4 Million is pocket change to some of these people but like you and I, are looking for an investment opportunity. Having Steve McQueen's name attached definitely added a lot of value, and that will also be the same in another 4-5 yrs when the car sells for 4.5 million or whatever.
  18. So the articles you post are the only ones that are true and factual? Got it.

    Weird

Judging how he is so incapable of one solitary thought of his own, I'd say he is all of them all wrapped up into one.
  20. I'm not really sure what it is you're trying to say then? Are you pissed at Trump for taking him out after what he did to your fellow Americans? Whether it was Trump or someone else, would you still say it was unwarranted and unnecessary? Despite what we are seeing on the news, many are elated he is finally gone.
  21. You're trying to paint them as kind and compassionate people. I called bullshit on that and proved to you they are capable of anything. Sorry you don't like the truth about the barbaric imbeciles.

    Weird

How about you tell me what you think, Kevvy? C'mon, I know you can do it. Just sheer that wool off for a moment and give me your own thoughts on the subject for a change.
  23. And your written article is somehow more proof than actual videos? Here's some written articles too. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9557897/iran-executions-cia-spies-death/ https://www.dw.com/en/iran-defends-execution-of-gay-people/a-49144899 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/sep/07/iran-executes-men-homosexuality-charges https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/iran-executes-three-men-for-sodomy-2350671.html
  24. You're exactly right. The guy ripping into Trudeau is a 100% spot on. If there was one ripping into Trump, it would be the idiots in the 1st vid who the guy is mad about and ripping into Trudeau about. Try harder.
