Not all are created equal it seems. When my son got into sledding 6 yrs ago I also purchased him a helmet with an E shield but unlike mine, his will also come undone at the connection on the side of his helmet. Being new and not knowing any better, that is where he decided to unplug it when stopped for some reason? I told/showed him where to unplug it and taped the connection near his helmet and so far no more problems. I think it was a weak connection there to begin with and unplugging it numerous times just weakened it further. Mine, thankfully, fits/connects nice and snug and has never come apart once during trail riding. I'm unsure what new plugs are worth but if mine ever acts up, I will be purchasing another as I like it that much. Like I mentioned, the No-Fog, although it worked if it wasn't real cold, was a pain in the ass. Zero fogging/freezing issues since I purchased my E shield and much easier putting my helmet on with it.

I was mad at myself for waiting so long to get an E shield. Fussing with a No-Fog mask for 10+ yrs was just silly. The cord bothers me zero. Run it up my coat's magnetic zipper from the plug in on my bar riser is way easier, imo. I have only forgot to unplug it once or twice, and even then, that was no big deal.

Not likely as well as you do, but I'll stick with my opinion and say this isn't just a one off sort of thing where they are flying by the seat of their pants.

To me, this isn't just a mad scramble where they can utilize just anyone they find on the street to build this hospital. Imo, this is a trained crew/army of people that specialize in this sort of thing in case of a pandemic like we are seeing now. Not all concrete is the same. With the thickness they are pouring, and depending on the mix, 1 to 2 weeks max before the forms are stripped. Even if it is still green it will still support what they are building.
