  3. All my Doo snow checks have showed up in mid to late August.
  4. Last winter a guy had an 85 Bravo listed for 2K.
  5. With the market being so crazy due to COVID I thought it would be fun to share ads of over priced sleds. I'll start it off with this one: https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/snw/d/minnetonka-1987-polaris-indy-trail/7372540264.html In comparison a couple months ago a local guy had a relatively clean / garage kept 93 Indy Classic listed with an asking price of $400.
  6. Well, I learned a new word.... " handleable "....LOL
  7. On the bold, think what you want. There's no need for a new poll, the results are self evident. I could post links but there was at least 3 when I looked and it's only been out for one season. Doo's 600R has been out for 3.5 seasons and I haven't seen a single one blown up on DT. Go ahead and look, you won't find one.
  8. Doo & Poo pretty much tied in that poll and the riding dirty Cat kicked both of their asses. Now (especially in 2019 LOL) Doo has the advantage. I’ve been toying with the idea of trying out one of these newer / almost 700 class 600s. I haven’t seen a single post on DT about a 600R going down. A quick peek over on HCS and I found 3 or 4 650s that went down last year and others with issues like fouling spark plugs / not starting, c’mon it’s frickin 2021, not 1981.
  9. Well, since we're being honest - there's pros & cons to all of them. No one manufacturer is the best at everything. You have to pick the sled that's best for you. Based on sales numbers the majority of riders currently feel that Ski-Doo is the correct answer to your question. Why??? High quality & leading technology. (only OEM with DI, best riding rear skid, and industry leading 2S durability "as of late" not to mention excellent F&F & build quality) I will say the Polcats steer lighter & offer better lighting from the factory. Oh and yes look better in most cases if you care about cosmetics. And Poo's new gauge & warmers are pretty spiffy. It's too bad the quality & durability isn't better - and oh that seat....If they could just put a more comfortable seat on them or at least offer one as an accessory their sales would probably jump up.
  10. Well said. I'm in my mid-40s and every decade I can remember we had some good winters, some crappy winters, & some just ok winters. Take 1987 for example, we didn't get enough snow to ride down here once the entire winter. You're right, people forget all about the brown winters and just remember the good ones. Back in 07 I started buying into the hype and even considered ditching sleds for ATVs. It was the 6th crappy winter in a row, an Inconvenient Truth had just come out, and it rained on New Year's Eve - at night - up north. But just when I was ready to throw in the towel the next 4 winters in a row were awesome (08,09,10,&11). It's all cyclical and there's cycles within cycles. There's solar cycles which drive oceanic cycles which drive the climate. And even if you buy into the whole MMGW thing, a slight change in world wide average temp has jack shit to do with what kind of winter you'll have any particular year in your neck of the woods. It's all in the jet stream / luck of the draw. Every winter some parts of the globe have harsher than average winters while other regions have milder than average ones. The funny part is every time we have a heat wave the media jumps all over GW. But every time there's a cold snap you have some smart ass telling you there's a difference between weather & climate. Well, ya'll can't have it both ways...
  11. Now they're saying 12: (11 Marines & 1 Navy Medic)
  12. Yeah, I got fucked up pretty bad by a cat a couple weeks ago. My wife has been volunteering at the humane society for a couple years now and we've done the foster thing several times. She just brought home this 2 year old cat rescued from the streets of Kuwait. It's been a month and it's still not getting along with / needs to be separated from our other 2 cats. I made the stupid mistake of picking it up when it was about to attack one of our other cats and it did this to me. House cats may be little cats but they're still cats and they can fuck you up pretty bad when it's an all out attack.
  13. Actually next to nothing, it works out to .00069444 RPM.
  14. Just give them Wi-Fi so their story can get out, the Biden administration won't even do that...
  15. Lets all chip in and buy jtssrx a seat on the next space-x flight and see what he has to say when he gets back.
  16. That sucks. I don't get this damn disease. For some it's a mild cold and then it takes other people out. Supposedly the vaccine process isn't complete until about 2 weeks after your second shot. I wonder if he ever got the 2nd shot / if he died after being fully vaccinated.
  17. Natural solar cycles drive natural oceanic cycles which drive the climate. Human activity has little if anything to do with it.
  18. Polaris already took the post down, anybody good at making memes?
  19. Here’s some fake Sandra Bullock green screen stuff but the footage in the background is real ISS time lapse, I think. Cool video in any case.
  20. I never knew August was motorsports awareness month. https://www.facebook.com/PolarisSnowmobiles/photos/a.166088556736711/4528141840531339/ For those not on FB it was about pre-ride inspection of your snowmobile.
  21. You’re… I thought you libtards were supposed to be the educated ones.
  22. Terrorists? You mean the unarmed folks who committed the heinous crime of " trespass ". What would you call the BLM / Antifa folks who burned and looted half the fucking country last summer? You know the ones who prosecutors were told to go easy on. The ones who Kamala fund raised to bail out. Meanwhile the patriots who were protesting a stolen election and the death of our freedom of speech are still rotting in federal prison and haven't even had their day in court or been sentenced yet.
  23. According to the article (I read it somewhere) they escorted him out of the building. I guess it was on HCS: " Brian Dick was escorted (fired) off the premises last Thursday the 20th. "
