  1. good lord... I smell a whole new round of lawsuits and potential paternity tests stemming from this thread
  2. this is better than Gamestop let's up the ante' and go for $2M---post pictures of his husband.
  3. you really went out on a limb with that one Tom...
  4. That's why I became a Contributing Member shareholder. Just waiting for the buyout offer.
  5. otb: that's how all this shit got started in the first place... I'm going to need a bigger bag of popcorn for this thread...
  6. How about doing your normal D&D mods to one of these @taperk600 - sleeper https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/2-up-touring-utility/models/transporter-800
  7. at least you guys found a new hobby to fuck with now that you don't have Stinki and F7 Joe to push around anymore
  8. LOL I have a sneaking suspicion that the 'Lynx' name being used to sell sleds in North America was part of the 'we invented the Pyramid first' lawsuit from BRP with Cat besides, Cat doesn't use Cat names any longer - you can have a Riot or Blast, but not a Cheetah, El Tigre, Puma, Panther, Cougar or... because they suck
  9. shhhhhhhhhhh... Yamaha might hear you.
  10. also, notice there are no longer any touring or utility sleds in Cat's lineup and no non-Turbo 4S gone are the Pantera (not the band) and all the 7000 series sleds gone are the small bore 3000 & 5000 sleds (see B-Last models) also notice the 4S Riot's are Yamaha only the SRX is for 'real men' who don't need P/S - so fully expect to see it next year when the whiners complain too much. there's more, but why should we care? last thought for now... Lynx takes away the #3 spot for 'SALES' in model year 2023 and moves Cat and Yamaha another wrung lower on the ladder. Textron - we specialize in irrelevant
  11. Dave's not here man... it's no wonder Culver's won... although he does make numerous validated points about you...
  12. what would have been cool (or at least interesting) imo, that would have been unexpected (in my head) would have been a totally new Yamaha SRV 137 with an 8000 in traditional Yammie colors with all the RXC goodies installed straight from the factory. probably and only because we had an SRV... and they already have the SRX base well covered. funny thing is though, the original SRX's were actually lightweight rippers... not 'porky' 4S sleds. oh well, look forward to seeing your next new toy and I sincerely hope you don't have to waste $ on a wrap...
  13. can't disagree, but at least Yamaha adhered to traditional colors unlike Cat who had some second grade coloring contest at the local elementary school.
  14. sort've agree... see below won't disagree too much but where did Suzuki stand on EPA certified stuff. if there's a diamond hiding in the Cat/Yamaha relationship it's that it helps keep a few folks in TRF employed. on that note though, why is there only one YamaCat in Textrons lineup? haven't watched yet but...
  15. if you don't get the VR1 and opt for an XC without a gauge you probably really don't need then maybe you can afford to spend a weekend at the Garmisch? anyway, we can sort things out as we draw nearer. I just know the Garmisch is a nice play to stay and hang out. rarely do I pay for lodging but when I do I don't mind paying a premium if it's worthwhile. more importantly, who are we putting in charge of the t-shirt design?
  16. for what these cost, I keep my expectations pretty low. you can get the one I got minus the inline fitting (you already have?) and give it a whirl but again, keep your expectations low. where were you months ago? whaddya suggest Tommy?
  17. pretty sure what you'd be buying is essentially the Iron Dog skid and sled... which isn't a bad thing. https://cdn1.polaris.com/globalassets/snow/root/team-polaris/racer-resources/cross-contry/parts-and-kits/2020-600-indy-xc-137-iron-dog-upgrade-parts-list.pdf?v=75e167d4
  18. \/ see below \/ /\ agreed /\ way to come around new avatar Bontz? XCR 650 in classic color scheme idk Tom, the only place I saw tipped rails mentioned during the presentation was on the Cross Country. personally I'd go for the XCR 128/136" just for the 2.52 track over the XC - others might disagree but to me the more lugs/studs on the ground the better. plus, better brake and some other bits and pieces. based on the intro and looking at pics I'd say the 136 is not tipped rail and if it were then why offer the 128"? watch for CC specs @ 9:50 - this is the Polaris sled I'd order if I were replacing one of mine next winter. to my knowledge they have to sell them through dealers like the RXC to meet ISR requirements, so just make an inquiry to a dealer and let us know.
  19. not until they cut the 600 in half and launch the new line of 300's - rumor has it they'll be called rabble rousers. hopefully they'll hire some brilliant marketing firm from Jamaica to handle that launch. and what did Catextron do for 2022 - doubled down and launched two new models of it. yes - they are morons by all definitions at work today there was a group of us looking at SXS's because one of the guys is replacing his - I don't know much about ATV's/UTV's/SXS's and already have disdain for them but when looking at 'performance models' from Cat, Polaris, Honda & Yamaha - the Cat SXS looked like the Procross - nothing there. Textron is not investing in the future of their product lines at the moment, and imo are milking every last penny out of the name before they dump it, close it or sell it off. they have a long history of doing this... look at Dixie Chopper and Jacobsen as two recent examples. their loyalty is not to you, the snowmobile connoisseur - it's to a bottom line ($) that has nothing to do with 'changing the game'. until they prove me and others that know how Textron really works WRONG, I will stand by my assertion. for pennies on the dollar, and little to no effort they could have made the same 2022 sleds they've been making for a few years already better and more palatable to the Cat faithful. so much so that I'll re-post my comments from Arctic Insider here. there was 226 comments on that AI thread this morning... most of which were pretty negative. for a change of pace, I was 'nice' to the idiots at Textron... to 'help'.
  20. change of plans @teamgreen02- next stop Eagle River WI I'll probably go on Saturday... need to run up to the cottage in the UP in the moring, check things over and remove glue traps full of mice carcasses. Can hit ER on the way back. anyone else considering going for an HCS meet, drink and greet? you heading up @Doug- this one is close to home and we don't normally get ISOC races in ER.
  21. precisely which one do you have? I had mine running tonight and forgot to take a few shots. The downfall of mine is the CR2032 battery and not being able to see it at night... going to have to dial in a workaround on that.
  22. that's simple... Klotz and cut the limiter straps irony, the last company making a fanner is Polaris which is amazing because they only have two smokes and somehow have enough EPA credits to keep selling one. your next big step backwards is a free air - and I saw a buttload of those from all brands burned down as a kid. that said, finned jugs sticking out of the hood, leaf springs, chromed skis and 1.3" of rear travel is just bitchin'
