  1. Lol, so anyone who likes the catalyst is a Kool aid chugger. Please, tell me what machine you like. It must be the best snowmobile with no reported issues ever, because you surely don't drink any Kool aid. Odd that even though you prop up "allegiance", you also slam anyone for perceived kool aid drinking or having brand glasses. Which would just be allegiance. For someone that has the biggest hair trigger to blast any "defenders", you sure seem to be the most biased.

Not sure why anyone buys anything 509. Junk helmet recall https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2025/509-Recalls-Helmets-Due-to-Risk-of-Head-Injury?fbclid=IwY2xjawLU0ZJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHgS4VXuxZ1tFf_8b4DW8vePXaP634M7eUGyngc13ZNR9l9GVikgLu2GyY0_R_aem_Jgl8scXhgSmYTZgiBizEIA
  3. I wouldn't say they made it as cheap as possible. I don't think the belt drive was done to be cheap, or the running boards or many other things. Did they nail the proverbial fine line of perfection between weight and durability? I'd say an overwhelming majority will never have any durability issues with the sled, so there's an argument there they did. It is a sled developed for the mountain applications afterall. What happens during ice racing isn't representive of consumers so that doesn't bother me, I don't know why it'd bother anyone but an ice racer. I'm sure cat will learn some of those failure points, that's just racing, nothing new or alarming. Scale weight is the lowest hanging fruit and really shouldn't matter to people. Mass centralization is much more important. Chassis balance is much more important. The catalyst is an awesome machine in my opinion.
  4. Sounds like they didn't have the speed of the Polaris on the lake racing. Zach maybe had the best cat support but that was still next to nothing. They freaking had motors popping every race last year. I don't think there was much of any testing, privateer level if there was, that was not a factory effort. It'd be nice to see actual xc racing. Lake racing doesn't really transfer to anything I do. Guessing the vintage sleds could run faster with equal prep.
  5. To call it xc racing is a stretch. Cat also had basically no factory race program last year and I think it was waning for the past few years. Most racers are going to follow the money.
  6. What is the junkyard giving you for it?
  7. But there were no bleeding heart soy boys who were afraid of their shadow in 1860
  8. Only bet that guy if he puts money down up front. Spoiler alert He won't, and when he won't you'll thank me. Guy has no money to bet with. You could maybe bet in washer fluid denominations? That's the main currency in his village.
  9. That's awesome, happy for you.
  10. Still mad that the lower 48 bought it with change from the couch cushion. Mad at everything except that sweet sweet washer fluid
  11. Heat wave in summer time... A new phenomenon due to super scary climate change! Records from 1910 are at risk! Who knew there was climate change in 1910?!?!? But at least we weren't 12 degrees warmer over winter and had non-stop fog, mist, rain, 40's, and no sun. Explains the deep depression and lashing out behavior they have. Lolz
  12. It looks like a nice bike for a retired senior citizen, glad you're able to get outside and enjoy it.

  14. So uhh.. when's the government auction? Asking for a friend..
  15. Why would anyone ever be. I call it No Hope. Still better than Alaska though lolz
  16. I had week off and was up north, no rain at all and could have used some. Came home tonight and there's water everywhere and shitty, should have stayed up there
  17. Maybe dealer can warranty?
  18. Yeah I'm sure, I started ignoring again. Much better. Starve the troll.
  19. This global warming is nuts, pretty extended stretch of pants and hoody weather, mid June. Damn global warming better sell all of my snowmobiles and related content and then retire comfortably 😄
  20. If cat thinks they can develop sleds through things they find in xc racing, sure spend some money on it. However if it's just for bragging rights don't waste one dollar. Nobody cares about it and they need to focus on so many more important things than some lake racing that nobody cares about or even knows is happening. Aren't they also racing a consumer sled against a Polaris race sled? I mean who cares? Nobody.
  21. Please explain how a belt final drive experiences slippage. Clearly just copy and pasted that because you don't know what you're talking about.
  22. Translation, you got fooled again
