  1. Because you have a subscription to the place. I’m not going to sign up for a subscription just to read an article from a media source that I won’t regularly use.
  2. That’s the target audience for the W/T trim level Silverado EV as well. Problem is supply chains are still killing deliveries on these things. Seems like every other day there’s a delay coming out for some sort of necessary material for them too. From what I hear, there’s no immediate end in sight for those issues either.
  3. For general around town or short commuting, EV cars are more than capable. The current EV trucks are nothing more than show pieces. They can do light hauling/towing for short distances and that’s it. A pure EV and fully capable truck for long distance truck type work, won’t be happening anytime soon if ever. Look to hydrogen fuel cell power to make that happen.
  4. My niece jumped head first into nursing school, even after graduating from high school during the first year of this bullshit (2020) so she could be in nursing like her mother. She has changed her mind and will not be going into the medical field now. I don’t blame her a bit.
  5. This has to be one of the most shittiest seasons that I can remember. It’s the UP or absolutely nothing here in Michigan and everyone from the entire Midwest, and some from out east, are up there. I hear it’s ok to poor riding at that. I have a trip planned to be up there next weekend. Hoping for some fresh before then but I won’t hold my breath.
  6. Tesla’s day is coming.
  7. They have to make him look just dumb enough to take the heat off themselves, keep working the system and let this geriatric fuck take the fall for it all. Same ol, same ol.
  8. The words “Biden” and “Think tank” being used together are about the funniest oxymoron I’ve heard in a long time.
  9. It was pretty funky, even in northern Ontario last year, than what I’m use to. Suppose to be back up there next month for work. Guess we will see what it all looks like post their Covid bullshit.
  10. You care more about seeing those on the “other” team upset more that the fact that we are all fucking losing.
  11. Yeah and where are we at with that whole fiasco? That’s right, no fucking where. Same as we will be over this Biden bullshit. Funny how you think one is a travesty and one is nothing to worry about.
  12. You may have missed it but I’m not buying ANY sled, new. I’ve found a few sleds that interest me that are in the price range of where I could flip what I have and have very little, if any, money out of my pocket. That’s the most I’d do.
  13. Never understood the love of air shocks other than weight savings. They’ve never appealed to me and I’ve never ridden a set that made me say “Oh I gotta have these.” Not to mention that the last factory Cat set I saw apart at my shock guys shop, laid next to a set that were actually purchased from Fox, it was an eye opener. Im not a W/E thumper either, to be clear. The QS3s that I helped set up on a buds RMK last year were mega sweet, for sure.
  14. This is probably better suited for the FB thread but I’m still seeing idiots trying to flip snowchecks, or low mileage year olds, for more than retail. I just can’t imagine they are selling for that but when you look into the actual post, there’s 20 people tagging 20 more in the comments. There’s got to be a lot of 20 something’s out there killing the fuck out of their credit scores or a bunch of cash in hand rich fuckers who just don’t care. If I had the balls, and know what I know now after the past few years, I should have spring ordered sleds in all of my family members names and sold them all for profit. I guess that’s IF that is actually even happening. Unreal.
  15. Without seriously pre-heating the engine, specific cold start only tune or blending down the ethanol content, that bitch ain’t gonna light. I’ve seen it in the automotive world plenty. Sled engine management, fuel delivery, etc isn’t gonna pull it off any better. All the big Cat turbo guys I knew back in the day were on race fuel for hotter tunes and spray meth (washer solvent) if trying to run hard on the trail.
  16. Yeah. Try to run E85 in a sled. That should be a good time.
  17. Yes on the manufacturing ability. No on supplies. 2023 is going to be a VERY telling year. I don’t think you’re going to see the large continued all EV push from manufacturers other than Tesla. The reality of the supply chain issues that still seem to be fucking the auto industry are going to have to be dealt with.
  18. Reliably making full hp, all the time, on the boost is going to be difficult I think. I’ll bet it pulls power often due to IATs, coolant temps and exhaust temps.
  19. Honestly, it’s too much money. Agreed that a 850 modded is cheaper and will be faster. Clearly the boost is for the guy that the fastest thing out there, just wants to pull the cord and go and doesn’t give a shit about how much it costs. Also, if the Matryx trail chassis is as bad as the Matryx mountain chassis is, hard pass for me on that one. I know multiple people who sold their Matryx RMKs from last year and went back to Axys chassis RMKs. After riding the Matryx chassis RMK, I don’t blame them.
  20. Semi-Aggressive rider and race sled once again, do not mix.
  21. But Tesla leads the market in battery tech. Also, no issues with the raw materials that they are using, how the build the batteries or how the next generation of batteries is pretty much on hold because of, you guessed it, never fucking ending supply chain issues. Solar and wind farms for everyone!!!
  22. Just keep following the money. It leads to the rat, every time.
  23. Yeah with my income, and trade, I’m more of a Copart guy myself…..
  24. Lots of everything but Yammies here. Definitely more Polaris and Doo than Cat but not by much, imo.
  25. Yeah. Was on it last year trying to take the father in law for a ride up to the bridge and back.
