  1. For sure!! Though I'm not retired yet... Well, mostly for a few months of the year anyway! Usually my solo rides are from the garage (When we have snow south of the Twin Cities) where I know I won't be without cell service, or between trips and I don't feel like driving home and back up in the same week. I just stay up north, move to another location for a few days of solo riding before moving to the next group location... Those solo days are usually the highest mileage days for me all season! I like to be on the snow before 8am and throw down 300 by dinner time.
  2. I have too many examples of dumb ass moves on a trail or riding in a group that get you "Off the Team" it would take too much time to list them out. As stated above:
  3. I'll throw a couple more "throw it in and listen all the way through" albums/CD's: Dio - Holy Diver (1983) Guns and Roses - Appetite for Destruction (1987)
  4. MN went all in on wind in the south/southwest part of the state years ago - always amazed at how many of those big wind mills can be seen from I-90 and State Highway 60 as you drive through. If memory serves me there’s a few thousand at least.
  5. We had about 15 minutes total with rain on our 2 week trip - all our sunsets and sunrises looked like this! Somewhat Jealous we didn’t see many real clouds or rain…
  6. Good Lord, some of you guys have waaaaaay too much time on your hands. God forbid you ask a question about something - out of pure knowledge inquiry - without being called stupid or ignorant or a whole plethora of other names. Here's to the coming winter...
  7. We have a pretty good turnout for monthly meetings (25-50 members depending on time of year) and when it comes to helping out, we do have our core of guys but a lot of rando's show up when we put out requests for help. We've even gotten to the point where we are offering our help to some of the up north clubs where we take club trips, to help out where needed. We'll see if any take our offer, as none have as of yet, but I think there are a few of us who wouldn't mind taking a few fall weekends up north with the wife/girlfriend in tow - a number of the ladies have begun showing up at club meetings, if not to listen along, just have a few cocktails together while the meeting is going on. We have our meetings at one of our club trail sponsor locations.
  8. A buddy is up there west of you fishing in the Sioux Narrows, and he said he didn't bring enough clothes... Was only in the 50's yesterday!
  9. On my road trip out west, you'd probably not be surprised the amount of campers going down the road behind half ton pick-ups looking like that - these people are nuts IMO. There was a 25-35mph cross wind coming back across SD last Friday - I was shocked not to see any of them in the ditch. Half of them clearly didn't have load leveling and anti-sway bar kits - ridiculous.
  10. If I had shown you my car next to that, it would look like a toy. They guy said he had the Supercharger upgraded to the newer 3.8L Eaton on this one and its right about 1000hp now. His wife fell out of it and broke her ankle after the first ride! She was still in a walking cast when we ran into them in Dubios, WY last week...
  11. I have one more day on a 2 week 3500+ mile road trip, where I basically zig zagged my way around Yellowstone and other than a few in the bigger cities, I don’t think I saw a dozen EV’s on the roads we took, which was about 3000 miles on two lane back roads. Crossed SD from Rapid City to Sioux Falls today, and didn’t see one single EV in that 340 miles.
