    Snow Tires

I have run lots of different snow tires, my favourite is micheline x ice2, next with about the same snow grip but just a little bit less dry road manners is yokohoma ice guard 51, currently running hankook I pike snows, last winter and this winter. they are just a step behind the yokohomas in snow and dry pavement traction. I found the hakapelietas not that good in dry/highway traction and didn't live up to snow traction hype. I tried the cooper snows and thought they were about the same as the hakas. bfg winterforce snows lasted about a week on my Yukon, before I sold them. took a loss on them just to get better tires. they were at least 2 steps behind the Michelin in dry and snow. I have read and heard that the blizzaks are the best but wear fast. I would buy the xice in a second. I have used them on 3 different vehicles and think they are the best. the dry road manners are great, they go through slush and snow great and they last. sometimes the snows are a softer tire so it feels squishy, greasy or slippery. they have lots of body roll in the corners, reduced grip, lock up easy in dry braking,
  3. Did you see the size of the forearm on the old guy. lots of masturbation is the only way to get your forearms that big !
  4. I had an 1988 5.0 mustang with the trunk and a 1990 5.0 hatch back. with my 88 stang I raced a grand national off the light, I took him at the start and was thinking to myself that I was the king... I had a good start, squaked it into second gear, could not see him beside me, then at 80 kph he passed me like I was standing still and my heart dropped.
  5. maybe a second block and chain to hold the rear down. or one of the shore lifts or winch set up on a couple of 2x10" and some carpet to keep it out of the water
  6. yes it is on its way out. sleds and muscle cars also. melanials are not interested in wrenching. that is a dying hobby. things are to expensive, and there is is to much competition from everything else out there( travel adventure destinations, video games, computers, next generation of VR). most of the people who are paying huge money for these items are boomers. sure the kids like using the stuff and the status and bragging rights, but when the have to buy it themselves it just wont happen. there will be a masssive lag in sales when the boomers stop buying stuff and the next generation has the excess cash. there will be a big consolidation in manufactures, as well as a price drop. will still be a few years off. the construction industry will need a massive foreign influx to handle all the renovations. most houses today built in ontario are 4 bathrooms + to renovate 4 + bathrooms in 25 years time will cost homeowners an arm and a leg. when i grew up most houses had 1 or 2. you were rich if you had 3. LOL money is cheap and easy to borrow. the next generation has never seen hard times, or massive war or destruction. 2008-09 was not prolonged. we will pay for our fixing that later down the road.
  7. slow news day and what he says sells advertising time and gets readers
  8. go through insurance, and get them to repair the house...thats why you pay for it
  9. you know a little to much about that stuff for comfort
  10. who doesnt move for 10 seconds. my addhd and wrestless leg syndrom makes it impossible.

  14. yes the banana splits, i just watched it on youtube. I think the wiggles are an update version
  15. I didn't go through all of the posts but a few thing stuck out... narcos is good, halfway into season 2 I'm dying up here is ok the first few seasons of house of cards was great, the last few are still good. I havn't seen #5 I like the walking dead I'm up at 6 am and VEEP is on with the chick from seinfield. it has some funny stuff, very arrested development stuff. I was also into MASH as a kid. it is so funny that 25 years later i still remember "the wind broke his leg" col flagg. someone got the casting and writing correct for that guest appearance and it made that episode fantastic. I liked banshee I liked sparticus from a few years ago I think 2 men and a half men and big bang theroy are very robotic in their line delivery. almost looking for a laugh. entertaining to watch i wonder how some of my child hood favs would hold up today(magnum, simon & simon) hogans heros and rat patrol.johnny quest cartoons, 70's spiderman cartoon kicked ass, flintsones LOL some of stuff was wacky...HR puff and stuff, the one with the 3 dogs in a car and who could forget scooby doo!
  16. possibly, maybe. good call.need to take a pick of them
  17. i dont have a pic because im having to much fun squashing them. they are red and smaller than a pin head. 6 legs i think...move pretty quick for a small bug at first i thought they were fleas/ ticks. or spiders. shape is different. one of my kids said ants. wrong shape for ants. usually in a group of 10 or so anyone have an idea? i will try to get a pic
  18. all of the markets are very correlated. keep it all in the US markets. thay are the growth markets. invest after a crash . if your worried, put in stops below current prices. any interest rises will be slow as not to spook the markets. the boomer generation likes to live high off the hog, if the market goes down it wont be for long, that would hurt to many americans. they will find a new way to prop it back up. keep pushing out the pain till another generation can pay it back.
  19. i could be parting ways with my 7x23 all aluminum. its in great shape. brakes and bearings done in oct. it has a sticker for 2017. its 18' with a 5 foot V for 23 total feet. it is the one in my avatar. i just need to look at prices and see what i want to sell it for . i bought another 4 place and may not want to have 2 big trailers
  20. I was in Chicago for the Canadian long weekend. I asked the manager at the hotel(near the university) what happened here and why so many deaths. he told me that they closed 3 hospitals to gun shot victims , because no one had money to pay bills. so they have to travel 30 min across town to different hospitals and most of them don't survive the ride. he could be wrong ...just saying
  21. yes, I still think the first one is better
  22. hit your reset button on your milage. or you must drive like a woman. I have '16 ecoboost with 3.55 rear end and the best i'v seen is 14.8 combined. even highway is 14.8. it has been a little worse since i changed the plugs. but i spin the tires like my '88 mustang off the lights i pull my 5000 boat like it wasnt there. just want a 6.5 box and better gas milage
  23. LOL with the size of your garage, cleanliness and organization i bet i was the not the only one who got wood ! I have only seen 1 other garage better than yours (in holland landing)
