snatchslayer
Serious question. Use to ride with guys that needed to stop at every bar on our route, or would pack on the sled. I'll admit ,I use to indulge, and trust me,where I live now, you would never get stopped ,not even for a snow pass check. Pathetic.
Dave
All depends where im riding....when i rode in Ontario I waited till I was done for the day....out here in sask....most warm up shacks have a full bar going most nights.
racinfarmer
For the most part, no. I might have a beer at a trailside stop, but that is a pretty rare occasion. I've rode with people who ride for 15 miles and stop for a hour, repeat. Not for me.

It's the same here. Our Inwood shack ,and the elusive Elk Island shack are notorious for late night shenanigans 2 minutes ago, racinfarmer said: For the most part, no. If you cant wait til the sleds are parked for the day, you've got issue and need to go see a counselor
Ez ryder
back in the day that is all we did . I have not done that crap in well north of ten yrs . I wont ride with tools who cant pass a bar . I will have a beer with lunch but more times than not it will be a diet doo . I have seen to many guys get hurt real bad from that shit . when you are sitting there waiting for the helicopters to get to the lot it gives you pause . heck that is one of the reasons I started to get the fuck off the trail way to many close calls from drunk fuck sticks on those trails

One drink doesn't do anything, so again I don't see the point. If you can't have fun, without having to drink, I'm not the one who has the problem

I have zero sympathy for that shit . escort out of the woods to nearest trail and wave goodbye. I can walk to my fridge or drive 4 min to a bar when I am driving 18 hrs or more it is to ride and I want to be at my best the whole time . hwytohell
Did the run fast to every bar around , I was very lucky some of the other riders were not. I try not to ride on the weekends , way to much bullshit on the trails and roads + cops looking for revenue. The second year as a fill in groomer , a drunk fool hit the drag , he was hurt , his sled was total junk. His drunk riding buddies got a big wake -up call, so did I. For me never till the sled is put away for the day.

I use to ride with a group that wanted to haul ass for 75 miles, stop for lunch and have 3-5 and then haul ass back and get shit faced. Then sleep in til 10, all hung over and then not want to do shit the next day. Fuck that BS. Got old real quick. Started riding with Paul (Sled Solutions) and we were both on the same page as well. He now lives up N , but does mostly off trail. Otherwise I'd still ride with him. Glad I have found others who also share the same views on riding 100% sober. I did a 180 regarding riding buddies too. Only problem is I hit the sauce pretty hard when we get back lol. But I've NEVER missed a ride or went late because of late night shenanigans
