Drop the Polaris to 2,281. Dad got me an 850 assault today for getting good grades on my report card. It is a snocheck only model that was sold out but some how a dealer had one. It has the big tv screen in it and does wheelies.

The Lester's should be mailing you a RWSOTY ribbon soon. Might as well take the skies off because they will never touch the snow anyway!!!

I hope it’s flagged sized so I can fly it off the back like the red necks do with flags on their sxs

Pretty hard to sell SNOWmobiles when the lower 48 doesn’t receive reliable snow anymore unless you live in the mountains. :lol2: La Niña isn’t going to save shit this winter.

Even with a good winter this year I think sled sales will be slow unless prices really come down.

guys that buy every year or every couple still going to buy but that’s not enough to stay in business.

die hards are going to ride!

our small group will be riding this winter in our usual spots.

Early snow would get some folks off the fence, if it happens the manufactures need to come fast and hard with rebates. IMHO its not a good time to gamble and hope for a good season if you have 22s and 23s stacked up

Sleds are really the most "gotta have the latest and greatest" item known to man. Saw an ad where they're taking big bucks off invoice on non current sleds. That's where the smart buyer dives in.

and the numbers in this thread were specific only to 2024's... anyone sitting on 22's and 23's should be dying to get them out the door, you'd think?

All of them should be willing to lose on leftovers, before they have another birthday.. Interest payments will put dealers out of business.

Yep

The economy is shit, inflation is out of control, people pay way more for everything than 5 years ago and most are barely making more.  Everyone has less disposable money.  Huge uncertainty for the future.  I don't see many working class regular guys even thinking about buying new sleds and I don't see it changing any time soon

Correct,

And that is big trouble for ac. If textron hadn't had their thumb up their ass for the last 7 years and had released new products on time their sled market share would be double or higher, Yamaha would still buying units.  Almost the same story on the dirt side, market share has dropped to the point of irrelevant.

They would have actually been profitable, and had enough $ to coast through the down time.

Just because a company has sold many units in the past doesn't mean they can get through hard times.  The economic situation is big trouble for all of them.  This is not a one or two year blip on the radar.

Its a hell of a lot easier to get through the tough times when you've been making record profits the last couple years and have a diverse line up.

It's all relative.  Sometimes that means you have huge overhead.  Lots of huge companies, way bigger than anything we're talking here can go belly up real quick.  Brp is big compared to AC but just a big duck in a very small pond.

I don't really care about this topic.  You guys on this site should start a fantasy CEO league.  The whole industry is failing, I really don't care about dirt side either.  I don't want car to go away or any of the 3 but it is what it is.  I'm sure you working in it have a different perspective than myself as a consumer and fan.

If you didn't care you wouldn't post. Outside of you and Jimwit most Cat enthusiasts on here see the sorry state Cat has become. Dated product trying to play catch up. Dealers being dropped or leaving on their own. Keep posting your denial bullshit, it is pure entertainment.

It's called wasting time on the internet.  Amusement.

This is where you're in a bubble and don't seem to know it.  You seem to think what you read on the internet is an accurate representation of reality, when it is the complete opposite.  Most snowmobilers aren't following any of this stuff at all and don't care.  There are extremists who are very vocal on the Internet and that's probably 1% of the industry.  All my snowmobiling buddies are not following any of this stuff and I say 90% that walk into a dealer aren't either.  Not everyone plays fantasy CEO.  Where's all your friends on this site also bleeding from their vag?

Yes, the catalyst is dated.  😂 Ok.  You are clearly unbiased.  I will listen to you now for sure.  😂

I’ve posted photos of mine. I’m out riding in October already.

You've never posted any pictures of your sled with a left shoe.

Forum rule.
