The planet just shattered heat records for the ninth month in a row

“Last month was the planet’s hottest February on record, marking the ninth month in a row that global records tumbled, according to new data from Copernicus, the European Union’s climate monitoring service.”

Good!  Records were shattered for months on end in the 90s too (96 ish).  I’m a long time world climate change  believer (it’s in my degree).  I used the government model interactive calculator that shows different scenarios for your area based on what you think man’s impact may be, and the worst case scenario was 100 years from now my home has the same climate as the city 150 miles south of me does now (OMG, how do they survive there now!!?!).  Great!  Not only am I a change believer, I’m a supporter!  100 years covers my kids and my kids kids.  100 years is time for ALOT of technological advancement to help areas harder hit, if population GROWTH in that time doesn’t get us first!

I love these posts.   They cherry pick a starting point so it appears the "average" temps are lower than realistic.   Then they call the gas that is responsible for all life to exist a pollutant.

An economist at Yale...that's right an economist set us one the path of what the current temp and what increase would be dangerous.    AT the same time many were predicting an ice age.

In the 1970s, William Nordhaus, an economist at Yale, suggested in several papers that if global warming were to exceed 2° C on average, it would push global conditions past any point that any human civilization had experienced.1,2 At the time, Nordhaus's idea was a simple suggestion of what rise in temperature could cause extreme conditions, based on the historical record of past average temperatures, but it gained new importance a decade later.
