Doubling it in 5 years would be a huge success. Doubling it in 10 years is about market average. Doubling it in 40 years is a miserable failure

According to Forbes....For most of his life Trump outperformed the S&P 500 with his business dealings.......up until COVID hit. Since then he would have been better off investing in the index since much of his real estate empire hasn't come roaring back. But yeah, keep calling Trump a failure with a net worth of more than 2 billion.... he's a real loser.    ....shit I'd be happy with 2 million.

So even if his inheritance was on the high side of 400 million(it wasn't)....he still made it worth over 5 x as much........what a failure :lolz:....so your little doubling chart is assinine.... do you have a chart for 5 times initial investment?

Well if someone gave you 500k I’m sure you’d be worth we’ll more than 2 million after 40 years

It should.  Law is stupid.

Yah , and in 40 years he did what ….double it? That’s a massive failure by any standard.

Absurd failure.  Of course he failed to beat a vegetable in the last election so he is obviously a born loser.

All these armchair entrepreneurs crack me up.  90% of them don't have the balls to put their own $ on the line and take risks.

He gave government ultimatums back in the day for tax breaks when he was building in New York for starters. Do you get a tax break if you build a new house?

Any large project entering and building in a new /town/city/location generally gets incentives.  often times those consist of HUGE tax breaks that last for years.  why would they not offer incentives to a business that will generate revenue for its location?

I addressed that. Typical TIFF policy is immaterial to Trump activities...

Ya thats all fine and dandy. Trump reno'd most of his early buildings as cheap as possible to make a huge profit.

Its very interesting looking at his history in business and all the people hes screwed over. Maybe if he wasnt handed a fortune from his father, he would've done things different.

Trump has been battling politicians for years.

Most of them loved him and wanted to be part of his orbit, till, well, you know.

Trump used all the rules and regulations, and tax breaks that politicians gave him, then they cried when he did.

How many people have Biden screwed over?

I'll make it easy... just ask those who had to dig into their 401ks...

I would never vote for Biden or a democrat for that matter.

Exactly. he used the loopholes the politicians put in place for themselves playing the game better than they did.
