US attorney in Massachusetts leaked sensitive information to journalist to influence political campaign and lied under oath, federal reports say

Rachael Rollins, the US attorney for Massachusetts, leaked sensitive Justice Department information to a journalist in an effort to influence a local election, lied to investigators and improperly attended a fundraiser with Jill Biden, according to two critical federal reports released Wednesday.

The reports come one day after Rollins’ attorney said she plans to resign at the end of the week.

The DOJ inspector general’s report outlines the allegations and says that Rollins lied during an interview about the information she gave to the reporter. That false statements allegation was referred to the Justice Department, which has declined to bring charges.

Inspector general said this is the worst case he has seen. Tom Cotton is on a I told you so tour over this. Like always when political corruption comes to the surface it always has tentacles that lead to Massachusetts.

While she did wrong and is resigning that’s not what a Republican would do. Just deny, deny, deny and whine they are being chastised by deep state.

A perfect example of my statement is Supreme Court Judge Thomas. No Republican here has complained about it.

Hatch Act violation ‘one of the most egregious’

The Office of Special Counsel concluded that Rollins’s actions during the election constituted a violation of the Hatch Act, which limits certain political activities by federal employees. In fact, the report refers to Rollins’s attempted campaign “sabotage” as “one of the most egregious Hatch Act violations that OSC has investigated.”

Had this been a Trumper they'd be convening a grand jury already.

Don’t kid yourself. Trump got away with attempting to undermine the peaceful transfer of power of the presidency. The bedrock of America’s democracy. If he could get away with that, anything is possible.

Have you complained about dementia Joe and his child molesting? Not to mention hero’s inability to read a teleprompter?

Oh Hillary Clinton did a fair job of running a coup with the help of her friends inside the government.  You lefties clutch your pearls over January 6th and then pretend BLM burning down cities all summer long was just a peace protest.
