I remember as a kid there was an air show at our small state airport and a P51 was one of the show planes. He did a probably 300 mph low level pass maybe 20 ft over the runway and then came back inverted over it. Made me a fan forever of the plane.

Guy who has a home near us had a P51 a few years back, said he got a $million for it when he sold it, he would low fly over this area with it, I loved it.

I worked with a guy one Summer who trained P38 Lightning pilots.
