Yes many times, fun sled but you work a little harder getting them around corners on the trails, honestly never ridden one off trail.  The Assault comes close to the older sleds in the way the track angle approaches the ground now take my 850 the track has a harder angle to the ground in turn it eats up more.

Steve your turn.

Polaris took 1st in 600 Factory stock at Pine Lake  obviously the attack of the track played a huge part

Was it the attack of the track or the angle of the track?

I'm scared to hazard a guess with such experts around.

I guess I better tell my son not to bother going to BC for the 4th time because his sled is no good off trail.

Man the things you can learn on FS with the amount of knowledge around here.

Fucking guy blathers on about new chassis being slow , posts a record with a 2013 procross chassis having set it. probably the slowest chassis of all time

Go look 2017 was it's last run and still holds the record. Sorry to burst your bubble but these new chassis are not fast like the old ones. You show me a fast sled on this list newer than 2016 and ill buy you lunch. 2021 list.

The Assault has more of a chance to run down the older sleds than most all the new sled combined in 1000', its all about the attack of the track or the angle of the track but the Assault is just ok on the trail and off trail and it will never be a sled that is great at either one. No argument here just my opinion

Are you talking about the attack angle?

I mean , he was talking about fucking slammed ice setups. Not sure track attack is even relevant there

Yes running smaller lugs help with speed. "But back on topic" show me a newer stock 2s sleds that can run with the older stock sleds and you will have my attention. :thumb:

As Fastsledder would say 660, 800 and 1000" is a race after that its just a top speed run.

500 and 660’ is a race. Some 1320’ for asphalt but not a lot anymore. Never heard of a 800’ race. 1000’ is a speed run distance

Fine 500 you can add that to the list we do 660 and 800' in my area north of here the do 1000'. 1320 asphalt they draw very little crowd out so site out of mind. IMO Top speed can be whatever you'd like to call it.
