Standard trans were fine. Transmission lines are easy to replace. Wheels bearings were problematic but easily fixed with the after market. Calipers can seize up on any vehicle. Yeah i hear yeah, but dodges was prone to this issue. As far as transmissions i rebuild lots of them. I owned a transmission shop for a few yrs and was the rebuilder in many more . trans lines on a 3500 with a Cummins in it are not that simple to fix Edited November 18, 2022 by toslow

There’s an overlander that I hang with who just got done spending $10k converting his Cummins 6.7 to a six speed manual. Expensive stuff. Having a Cummins in them is the only reason to buy one really. Fords the best heavy duty truck by far now. I'm waiting to order a 23 f450. Only certain trims are available presently. I'm going King Ranch this time. Edited November 18, 2022 by Steve753

Pretty stout for sure. Most of my work trucks were sticks, so I was dealing with clutch master cylinders and transmissions. Do they still even make them in sticks?
