Hertz to order up to 175K GM electric vehicles over 5 years Source: AP Hertz plans to order up to 175,000 electric vehicles from General Motors over the next five years. The agreement announced Tuesday includes electric vehicle deliveries through 2027 and will include SUVs, pickups and luxury automobiles from Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac and BrightDrop. The companies expect deliveries of the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV will start in the first quarter of next year. “We are thrilled to partner with GM on this initiative, which will dramatically expand our EV offering to Hertz customers, including leisure and business travelers, rideshare drivers and corporates,” Hertz CEO Stephen Scherr said in a prepared statement. Angry ginger
how far does the average rental drive. few hundred miles over thr course of a week in a metro area? at that point makes sense as long as the average rental is say under 250 miles. but considering most renters are there on business if the hotels don't have enough charging capacity i would be still getting an ICE one if i needed more than that. Woodtick
They need every car they can get. They ordered 100,000 Tesla’s and I believe they are still waiting. They just came out of bankruptcy a year ago. How’s many cars did they sell off while they were fucked by the government shut downs? 175k cars over 5 years is nothing. They have 400,000 just in the US alone. How are those Vans Amazon ordered coming along.
