There have been many days in my working life I would much rather be taking orders at a food joint . I did install every order system in every burger king in the midwest when I was in my early 20s . Let's just say It took me over 20 yrs till I could eat at a bk again . Even now if I am at one. I.e. road trip with a bunch of guys .I just have to block it out lol. Every one I knew had free whoppers for yrs when I was installing for ncr . To this day I still very rarely will eat there usually last resort. Cashier job was easy I just hate dealing with people so it wasn’t for me. Dishwasher, six flags and ups package handler far worse jobs I’ve had. I Remember kinda mumbling to myself how this sucks ass first day at ups and the black guys I worked with in Hartford over heard and yells out they don’t call it “us people slaves” for nothing. $8 bucks a hr and they wanted some fucking unreal amount of packages unloaded in a hour think it was 1200 or 1400 if I remember. Daughter worked at McDonald’s for a year or so. She liked it ok. Her biggest problem was the imbeciles they hired. Automation is where they will all go.
