Something happened last summer with oil pressure and I was in Alaska all year. I didn't learn of this until I got home. I merely picked the boat up. Guest
I think they put the standard 350 in there. With the less power, that would explain the speed loss. He says it runs good, just not as powerful. Maybe the installer tried to make a few bucks off him with the less powerful engine.

Frostynuts
A couple of things I would like to mention. If you have dinged the prop, get it off the boat, ASAP. Running an unbalanced prop will eventually fuck up the outdrive. Run the boat at WFO, trimmed out, and note the max rpm. Is it in the 4800-5200 rpm range, or not ? Angry ginger
my 243 would do a legit 50 with the 320 motor. that was a great boat hope you figure it out.
Guest
He says it, RUNS GOOD. So that leads me to believe that engine is OK, it just does not have the power of the MAG. How bad is that prop? Is it jut dinged, or is the freakin' thing hammered??? LMAO! ! Hey, It's Kivvie!! He drops boats off trailers, and nearly burns his mother's house down charging a ATV battery!! LMMFAO! It's KIVVIE!!! That prop has minor dings, its staying put until the teenagers can be trusted to have better judgement.
