Can anything be believed from them? Or even from the USA? On the flip side this may cause the decoupling from the US economy many of the hardliners in China want to see.

That may be true. Unfortunately Trump has driven a wedge between America and Europe at a time when it’s relationship needs to be strong. He’s such a fucking clown.
