The judge issued a restraining order on the stay at home order. The Governor has to take it to court, brilliant lawyers at work here. It will take for ever in the court system.

I don't think it will.

Illinois has been pretty lenient as most business in this state has been deemed as essential, and there are a lot of corporate jobs that can be worked at home, any barber beautician, etc. can work if they want either at home or make house calls, restaurants can do carryout etc. I have a bud who does resi remodeling and he has a good backlog of work, his problem is people don't want his guys in there homes.

The coin sitting home isn't bad, UI plus $600.00 a week from the federales, even the gig workers are getting $600.00 a week from the fed for 16 weeks, I know a singer that works the nursing home circuit usually does 4-5 homes a day, his biz has been cut back because he can only sing in places that have courtyards and are willing to pay cash....no checks until the 16 weeks of fed money dries up

Got some real douchbag democrats trying to run both Illinois and Wisconsin right now.

It looks like the governor has a bit of a battle on this one. They didn’t try over turning the order extension. The judge put a restraining order on it. It basically makes it void until it is heard by the higher courts.  Very cleaver.

It's a downstate circuit court, it will be in the Appellate Court this week.

What big lawyers are spinning?

You have DuPage and Lake County republican lawmakers who are pissed at this downstate goof.

Something about  it being a restraining order. He can’t get it dismissed by them? If Clay county doesn’t win there,in goes to the  higher court. But the restraining order stands.

Their heads are spinning trying to figure out how to beat it. It doesn’t mater for you and me. Our local mayors can just take over and put rules in place.

How...by spending a lot  of money? Some are good, some are assholes...we deal with it here but the good ones far outnumber the assholes.

Wide awake Chachi...3rd cup of coffee going down.  Our county has only 13 cases and one death at this point so yeah I have some trepidation about those from the downstate hotspots coming to their second homes but it seems as if they are being respectful and mindful of others health.

You seem very upset. Maybe some emotional distancing would do you some good.
