They did a blood drive in Italy and 40/60 that showed up tested positive. None of them had any symptoms. I honestly think the number of people that have this right now is yuge. Way more than we think.

That means it really isn't as deadly as they are saying...if this is true.

Somewhere between 40-80% that get this bug have zero symptoms.

How can some people have no symptoms - then others get hospitalized. Virus targets certain genetic codes?

People have different immune response.

Not sure anybody knows but it does seem to target certain groups more than others...African Americans in New Orleans are being hit hard but then again that may have to do with underlying conditions like diabetes and hypertension. I also read something about Southern Europeans being more susceptible.

Seems the CDC would know by now - but they won't share anyway.

110 dead in Mich yesterday - deadliest day so far.

Designed in to the virus IMO. Crazy fast spread this way.

And the fucking thing is mutating all the time but once point of care testing becomes available it will greatly slow the spread and give researchers time to develop a vaccine.

Fast home test would be the game changer.

Most all people have some symptoms tho from that.

But you can be a carrier before you show symptoms. its not like you get sick the second you get exposed.

They have a 100000 cases to study.

Some are testing positive again after testing negative previously. Thats in one of the Asian countries tho.

Usually just a day or two.

This is like the perfect bio weapon. Just hopefully it doesn't mutate into a deadlier yet form.

People still have to obey the self isolation.  90%+ of the patients are not hosptialized.

If this was as deadly as SARS it would be the end of life as we know it.   It could have been and that makes China hiding things so much more dangerous to the world.

May 7, 2003 (CIDRAP News) – The World Health Organization (WHO) today estimated the overall fatality rate for SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) patients at 14% to 15%, significantly higher than previous estimates. The agency estimated the rate for people older than 64 years to be more than 50%.

The revised WHO estimates, based on data from four countries, came on the heels of a Lancet article in which researchers studied case records from Hong Kong and calculated a case-fatality ratio as high as 55% for patients aged 60 and older

Sure, it probably should have, but you don't announce such things the day before it happens.

Just got back, not a lot of voters, we were #10 & #11, they are only allowing 2 at a time in the Town hall, when we left there was a line outside under 4 canopy's, it's raining too.., I live in a very low populated Town and lots of Snowbirds haven't returned yet...The Stores were rather busy, even the Feed Mills had a few folks buying Dog treats as were we, Walmart was a zoo..Hand sanitizer was available at Walmart, we bought 1 12 oz. bottle and 2 small bottles for our Trucks.

This actually makes sense.  Ive heard the number of visits to the hospitals for things like heart attacks and strokes are way down.  People are so afraid of getting the coronavius that they aren't going to the hospital until it is too late.

I agree.

Going in too late because they are afraid is probably a big factor.

Normal early symptom checkups are a pain too.  Many clinics are closed to normal business.  How long do you wait before it's too late.
