Anler
I wonder how much it costs to keep people ignorant on health care. I bet it costs billions.
Zambroski
Bernie said that he'll put everyone in health insurance out of business...they can just do nose job claims or something. Real question...who the fuck styles his hair? Stylist: "What can we do for you today, Bernie?" Sell out: "Yeah...just give me the angry, creepy old wonky guy look." Stylist: "So, the regular then?" Sell out: "Yes, use a balloon again to comb it when you are done." Stylist: "How about we try something different like the 'you've got zero chance to win' cut?" Sell out: "What does that look like." Stylist: "Same."

Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted May 21, 2019 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted May 21, 2019 Funny he doesn't even understand that administrative costs for Medicare are actually higher than for private insurance. Medicare calculations showing it more efficient is simply a mathematical artifact of the way its calculated....not a measure of efficiency. https://www.heritage.org/health-care-reform/report/medicare-administrative-costs-are-higher-not-lower-private-insurance

The “Billions spent keeping Americans ignorant on healthcare” that half-wit mentioned earlier is false. It’s pretty cheap actually. From Bernie’s mouth to virgin ears. All those involved in the “state authority”, like all Communist regimes, will have the best of everything. Everyone else can eat scrod....if they are lucky and don’t rock the boat. In know, I know....”this isn’t THAT kind of communism/socialism...it’s the good kind!!!”
Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted May 21, 2019 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted May 21, 2019 Most Medicare for all plans require a 50% reduction in payments to providers. This means everyone in the HC field would need to see MASSIVE reductions in pay. Yeah I see no negative consequences coming from that. Yuh..imagine about the same percentage leaving their field in healthcare and nobody deciding to go into it anymore. A high school class will get you an RN license, vocational semester for MD. But they’ll all really care about their fellow “people kind” Sounds pretty good! Dreamy almost!

They like to make all kinds of claims about profit margin's and administrative costs most of which are small or actually less under private insurance. They fail to mention that under private insurance there is much more accountability to fight fraud. The vast majority of HC costs is human labor and capital equipment and facilities. You can't reduce HC costs significantly without cutting those costs dramatically. That's just simply the facts when you take out all of the emotional bullshit that goes with the debate. It needs a make over....badly. And I’m not against some of it going single payer but, we cannot devolve our whole system. “But if we cut the military budget....” ^^^^^^^. Never said we shouldn't address them.....my debate is on how they are addressed. If you read the article you would see some of the costs that are placed on private insurance that shouldn't be. That's just the beginning. If the govt stepped in and told Apple they can only charge $350 for a Iphone instead of $700 you think the product and service would get better or worse? Medicare is paid for by individuals their entire working life. I am surprised people are all too willing to accept cuts in Medicare when private insurance is hard to obtain for many seniors.
