Name one country where the workers own/owned the means of production.

Just one.

I know of quite of few employee owned companies in the US.   I call that capitalism.  I don't believe that is really what you want.

I work for one.  Limited partnership is an awesome business structure.

That's about as close as you'll get to socialism under the dictatorship of capital.

So what is your proposal on the workers owning the means of production?   Forced upon by whom?

when they decide your worth of having a piece which lets face the fact like with any company those at the top are keeping the vast majority and are throwing crumbs to those in the field. The general partners will always make the money not the limited partners.

Expect any less from a lifelong teacher?

:lmao:Moral philosopher.

Adam Smith FRSA (16 June [O.S. 5 June] 1723[3] – 17 July 1790) was a Scottish economist, philosopher and author as well as a moral philosopher, a pioneer of political economy and a key figure during the Scottish Enlightenment,[4]

Just like communism itself. Designed by a guy who literally did nothing, ever. For anyone.

But you don't produce anything?

We produce a value added service that requires training and licensing to act as a fiduciary for growing and protecting other people’s money.  So yes we do produce something.

We have over 60,000 associates, and the people making north of a million number in the thousands, including the guy who hired me, who went from a limited to a general partner last year.  We’ve never had a lay-off in our history. Great culture and promotional track if you want it, but I know most places aren’t like this. They should be. They just installed our first woman managing partner.  I think the top five pull down around 55 million between them.  I’m not a communist or a sexist, so  I’m still pretty ok with that arrangement.
