Polaris 700 CFI Motors....yay or nay?

Pretty sure they are good motors with few issues....any opinions from the experts here?

Had one Jim, they were reliable, built off the 600 if I recall but as bhent said, they were not a performance 700.  Coming from an 06 f7 to 08 700 poo it was a bit of a difference.

They were not much quicker than the 600.

Some blew up, some didn't. My neighbor had one that blew the first year and then again 2 years later. And a guy at my club had one that blew the second year.

But NewfieBullet had one that he racked up a ton of miles on and it never had an issue.

Right on....I like it! Watch those air shocks and maybe swap them out for some Zero Pros....also I believe Newfiebullet had one of those so PM him with any questions....congrats!

Thanks! This thing is in way better shape than that cfr1000. Two owner machine. Even got the original owners manual. Well taken care of. This will be my thrid IQ. I owned a 07 600cfi and a 2010 dragon switchback 600cfi. I love the chassis. Helps that I also think it is one of the best looking sleds on snow lol.

Just to give you a heads up, apparently there is a common issue with the intake boots leaking on these things. This one was idling around 2200-2300. Should be around 1700-1800. Turns out mine is the same lol.

My friend Matt had a Dragon RMK w/700cfi. He was 6’5” and went over 220 pounds. It dragged him around the hills of Wyoming just fine.

If he still had it would it be in Crandon, WI?

EZ Ryde Skid?

I was looking at that. Seems the fuel filter is a stupid design. Unclips close to the filter on the one side the a long hose that goes to the tank on the other

Do some searches on this...there are ways to remedy this.

Will do.

Kinda nice to have it for the first of September. Lots of time to get it ready to ride.

Matt’s one of the most honest guys I know. I’ve known his father for years. They are an honest to god Ward and June Cleaver family.

I’m serious.

Good to know there are some of those people left in the world.
