Fastest in a mile camaro SS 1le vs base mustang

I don't see the point if using a 1le package as it adds areo bits and the sole purpose of a 1le package is handling. So counter productive to drag racing. I would love to own either though.

10 speed auto vs 6 speed manual. Camero just went into OD before the mustang 

 

but it literally beet the mustang in every other performance metric. Even 1/4 mile

The camero is GM’s Old outgoing tech and fords all new drivetrain can’t beat it in the 1/4 mile or in handling :owned:

GM has a massive motor and all that Aero and costs more and cant even run down the tiny motor mustang on the salt flats :owned:

GM LT1 is the freshest and latest and greatest from GM.  It was an all new thing like 3 or 4 years ago ...  Just doesn't have the snort to run down a ford modular motor from the 90's.

Gm is getting the ford 10 speed transmission next year  in all camaros so it may do better next year on keeping up!

maybe if the chevy got a DOHC motor and stepped out of the stone age they could keep up

ford's first v8 was like in the 30's....  similar to what is used to day and a sbc from the 50's doesn't stand a chance when you let the reins go and open them up.
