Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been pulled from racing by doctor's orders for multiple races this season, and so far has had a couple fill-in drivers take his spot in the No. 88 - including retiree Jeff Gordon. But, throughout all of the work he's been doing with his arsenal of specialists, it appears that Dale Jr. doesn't see any return to the track coming in the near future...in fact, he's yanking himself from even having the possibility of racing for the entire rest of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season. In a press statement given this morning (September 2nd, 2016), Dale Jr. and his racing team Hendrick Motorsports opened up about his injuries and his ability to return to the track in the future. “I wish I could return to the No. 88 team this season,” Earnhardt revealed in the statement. “To say I’m disappointed doesn’t begin to describe how I feel, but I know this is the right thing for my long-term health and career. I’m 100 percent focused on my recovery, and I will continue to follow everything the doctors tell me. They’re seeing good progress in my test results, and I’m feeling that progress physically. I plan to be healthy and ready to compete at Daytona in February. I’m working toward that. “The support from both inside and outside the race team has been overwhelming. Everyone has been so encouraging and positive, from my teammates and sponsors to my family, friends and fans. It’s motivating and humbling at the same time.” Racing legend. Legend
I raced for 10 years. Sportsman and Late Models in WI and IL. The adrenaline going through your body is 100x that of the rush you get from snowmobiling hard. But on the other hand, the lows are way worse than when your brand new sled with no insurance gets wrecked or stolen. And its fuckin stupid expensive.

Slinger speedway in WI has 36* corners and its 1/4 mile. I had been racing for 4 years before I first raced Slinger. My first few laps of hot laps, I got dizzy. It's fucking unreal.
