  1. This is how it would be done from my Samsung Galaxy S23. For your purposes, WLAN and Wi-Fi are the same thing. Setup --> Connections --> Data Usage --> Mobile data turn off. Setup --> Connections --> Wi-Fi --> Search and find drone to connect to
  2. Wish mine was 4wd. It's only 2 wheel drive with turf tires. Perfect for what I need it for now but wasn't worth a shit in the snow!
  3. Newer setup with rebuilt trailer.
  4. Ours lived a hard life, sat outside most of the time. I used it for years around my property before buying a new Rancher. I have 3 machines now, 88 Fourtrax 300 2x4, 2020 Rancher 420 4x4 solid axle, and a 2023 Sportsman 850. When I need to drag my driveway, spray weeds, fertilize, or aerate the lawn, guess which one I pick? Since I have the Sportsman now, this trailer is permanently hooked up to the Rancher. The sprayer stays on my Fourtrax now.
  5. There is a big difference for viability of electric/battery powered equipment. Short use or easy to change batteries, sure. I don't use a sled or pwc for 30 minutes at a time. A lot of times on sleds we have a whole tank of fuel burned by 10 AM and are out for 8+ hours. Cordless tools are intermittent use, even for contractors, and the batteries are easily replaceable and don't require special charging infrastructure. Electric would be better suited for applications like ATVs or UTVs that are used around a business or farm. Sleds maybe for places like ski resorts but that's a real limited market. My next commuter car will probably be a Tesla but I'm only going ~70 miles round trip usually. All wheel drive and I park in my garage right next to the electrical panel. No more stopping every week for gas, just plug it in when I get home and charge at off-peak rates overnight.
  6. I've got all my money tied up in RIVN based on a stock tip I found here a couple years back.
  7. A few years back the bowling alley in St Peter, MN burned down. It was all over the local news that morning. We had good snow that year and the trail went right by there so I made a quick spin down there to investigate. It was easy to park in the ditch and watch from a distance on a sled. Ended up talking with the owner (who set the fire) and his former partner (who wanted out) while they were still putting out the fire. I felt really bad for them, total loss. Then on the news later it came out he actually started the fire. It's crazy what people are capable of where you or I or any normal person would never even think to do that. https://www.mankatofreepress.com/news/local_news/update-bowling-alley-arsonist-sentenced-to-jail-restitution/article_56b0d482-b7e3-11eb-b7b1-2783912c6a8d.html
  8. Yup, where I grew up there were pretty limited opportunities outside of ag. The only ones making money there were the ones who actually ran the operation. Thankfully, I'm in the position now where I can do more work remotely. Between traveling and work from home I don't spend that much time in my office at headquarters. I own zero crypto. Crypto bros were just crying because they all went broke. Now that BTC is back up they are saying how great it is and everyone should get into it.
  9. My advice to millennials and gen z is to save more, spend less, and don't ever invest with Blackrock. Fidelity low cost broad market index funds is where I keep most of my money.
  10. When I was in Destin in January you couldn't go anywhere without tripping over a for sale sign. Lots of stuff for sale, people just don't like the price. Housing prices along with insurance costs have gone way up in Florida. That's if you can even get insurance.
  11. The 2024 election is estimated to cost more than $10 billion.
  12. 3 year old 9R "safe bet" Keep Indy Dan on speed dial.
  13. Regardless of mileage. That 9R could have 50 miles on it and outside of warranty I wouldn't want anything to do with it.
  14. Would anyone here want to own a 9R XCR outside of warranty?
  15. Yup, old Bentley. My old boss has one. The thing is worth like $300k and he drives it in the rain and down gravel roads.
  16. $3.44 in town here. Be $4 a gallon this summer I'm sure and $5 for the good stuff.
  17. TDS, that sounds scary. I'm calling for 15 days to slow the spread. Oh, and make sure you get tested early, and often. We're all in this together!
  18. My parents took us out for an anniversary dinner yesterday. Place had a 3%+ automatic service charge that was not a tip for the staff. I'm not a big fan of the government stepping in but I think they need to put some rules in place to make pricing more clear to the customer. New York seems to have done something right. Usually I carry a few hundred in cash for restaurants as many are charging 3% plus for cards or don't take them at all. Think you will see more places trail side that don't take cards at all. Then the servers get their tips in cash too.
  19. Here was our snow depth on this day last year.
