  1. its on the books - are you positive Harper was 100% truthful in his 10th deficit budget and deferred spendings? funny how this happens every time a government changes EVERY TIME so who is right? numbers don't lie only politicians do
  2. In trying to make his case Tuesday, Trudeau re-ignited the bitter political debate over the post-election state of the public books that raged between Liberals and Tories long after the election. "We just went from a floor where the budget was balanced, because supposedly the Conservatives had balanced the budget, to what was the reality of our budget of being at about $18 billion in deficit at the end of that first year," Trudeau told a news conference. "So, we've been consistent with our plan and our approach." When asked about Trudeau's comments, a spokeswoman for Finance Minister Bill Morneau later said that, when the Liberals formed government, Ottawa's books were facing a baseline deficit of $18.4 billion for 2016-17. Harper even worse than thought
  3. budget 5 billion less than expected
  4. He noted as an example the push for labour rights. Sources say the Canadian government hopes the new NAFTA includes stronger union protections for Mexican workers, and an end to U.S. right-to-work laws that limit the potential to strike.
  5. not even close SK It was a question so don't read to much into it with your twisted ONEWAYS
  6. Thanks O'leary
  7. so a guy running a good carpet cleaning business really isn't a business? that is insulting to so many face it the blanket statement of ALL TAKING RISK isn't even close to being true
  8. never said he was - now tell me what Harper did
  9. he had no employees - him and his wife split the day buying a tar sprayer for 1k used isn't taking a huge risk uying a carpet machine is taking a huge risk running a website business isn't taking a huge risk dude there are so many that haven't taken a huge risk Opening your own Pizza place is taking a huge risk with your money due to setup costs and trying to beat the chain stores. Buying and opening a Pizza Pizza business isn't taking as much of a risk Opening a Tim Hortons has next to no risk what so ever
  10. EXACTLY most businesses close due to shitty plans - its not the government causing it. As stated doors close every single day Current survival rates for small and medium -‐ sized businesses in Canada decline over time. About 85 percent of businesses that enter the marketplace survive one full year, 70 percent survive for two years and 51 percent survive for five years. 30% close in two years 49% close in five years - 50 000 businesses every year close the doors Most of these people can't hold down a job and can't work for others, so they try it on their own and fail again. Your pedestal is pretty easy to get on too
  11. thanks for the lesson and admitting to your bullshit line All small businesses don't take huge risk, some do no doubt - some don't no doubt. My friend took a chance and opened a store - he lost in the end but it was due to a poor choice, he opened a dog and cat food store. Over priced cans of food and no one shopping gave this result. He was lucky to have SEARS catalog in his store to keep the doors open as long as he did. Are we suppose to feel bad for him? I knew it the moment he told me what he was going to do....... This is the story of many
  12. Do you know the percent of small businesses that pay minimum wages? I will wait Business is important and so is consuming - one can't work with out the other something you fail to realize. And I haven't commented on the newly suggested tax reform other than sprinkling income....
  13. no getting in to ME ABOUT ME again fact is I know so sorry it is the same...... Anyone can buy a carpet cleaner and start a business - you need zero education - zero english - all you need is a machine and desire to hustle jobs Stop trying to make out every business owner as someone great and unique - simply not true
  14. Then fold your business grab a paper or look on the internet for a job ------ sorry dude that isn't how it works...... who isn't against paying more taxes? you are pretty funny thinking an owner is some how different than everyone else.........
  15. Small businesses fail everyday, just because you think you can open a business and all is golden for life doesn't mean its going to happen. again with the backyard guy, if he doesn't pay his gst or other taxes please write the government and stop blaming me for action he has or hasn't done..... by the way He had employees don't be a doucebag like 02sled, its below you
  16. haven't ran my interlock business in quite awhile, what do you need to know? I call bullshit on your buddy, when he is at record profits I am going to bet the raises were not record making if they got one at all. A USA friend of mine is a great owner, during the 2008 recession he didn't tell his staff "you will eat what I eat" he took it upon himself, used some savings to stay alive and kept his employees from drowning - He is a real boss who realizes who is helping him out in good times. So his 30 employees do all they can for him still today. And his tax rate is near tops in the world almost twice ours
  17. you guys have all day to come up with Harpers 10 years of office tax breaks can we agree it was next to nothing?
  18. Please tell me the help you (middle class) have received the last 10 years - been dying to find out
  19. Trudeau seems to be on the UP and UP disclosing everything according to your post. Harper said that both he and his wife had personally run small businesses themselves. Before she moved to Ottawa, Laureen Harper was self-employed as a graphic designer and had her own company. It is unclear exactly which small business Harper claimed to have run. He has worked most of his career in federal politics, first as an aide to Progressive Conservative and Reform Party MPs, then as an MP himself. POST ALL THE TAX BREAKS YOU CLAIM WE GOT FROM HARPER
  20. never angry I leave that up to others lol Job creators and job recipients too funny well at least things don't change, you can't post what you claim so instead you bashing the working people you at the dinner table on behalf of Canada "thank you for letting us work"
  21. we considering I am a high tax payer and pull my own weight, why do you think I don't deserve a tax break but the extreme well off do? POST WHAT HARPER DID FOR THE AVERAGE GUY? NEVER MIND THE bs ABOUT PULLING YOUR WEIGHT I AM ASKING ANYONE TO POST NOT JUST ONEWAY AC
  22. Biggest tax break in recent history for middle incomers better child benefits for those that need it - unlike income splitting that did nothing for single moms or dads and equal earners Stats Can reports more money in the pockets of Canadians today than yesterday You will not see any business shutting down that wouldn't have otherwise keep hoping AC - and I will wait for your post on Harpers tax breaks for the masses
  23. any time you want to post all the breaks Harper gave the masses, do so the answer is very easy to come up with
  24. didn't miss a thing Inequality flat, but 1% holding gains According to Statistics Canada, individuals earning over $234,130 annually make up the country's one per cent. Their income has grown significantly over the years. In 1985, they earned $158,148 in 2015 constant dollars. That has grown by about 48 per cent since then. By comparison, the incomes of Canadians in the 70th to 80th percentile, earning about $53,000 to $68,000, have grown by about 17 per cent over that time But the one per cent's growth has moderated over the last 10 years. Between 1995 and 2005, the income of the one per cent grew four times faster than that of the 70th to 80th percentile. Since 2005, however, the one per cent's income has grown by 14 per cent, just three points more quickly than the 70th to 80th percentile. keep thinking the rich are getting poorer - simply not true
