Just one example, a few year back 60 Minutes had a segment on SS disability claims out in West Virginia and Kentucky. Most of these people were not disabled at all and their lawyers aided them in getting the benefits. They even stated that some of these small towns actually survived economically because of all the people on SS disability who should not have been receiving them.

I just read that a 55 year old man died in a snowmobile accident last night in Oneida County, WI. With all the new snow the trails are very loose. Riders better slow down in the corners or there’s going to be more carnage.

I like to believe that when you hear the occasional story like this where an older individual commits suicide, it could be that his doctor gave him a bad news health diagnosis.
