  1. Totally agree. Thousand dollar plus fines would put a stop to that shit in a hurry.

    2022 Doo Lineup

Sledding will definitely be the first place slowing sales will hit. Lot of sleds sold everywhere last year and my guess is most did not get ridden much last season.
  3. The noise has to be addressed because it's killing the sport for everyone but I have no idea if lowering the threshold from 88dB to 82dB is the answer or will even make a difference. Enforcement is the only way to stop the completely stupid shit that still goes on. Our club has discussed this topic many, many times and one idea that came up was through the registration process. Sled has to meet sound reg's in order to carry a sticker and I agree there should be some leeway for older machines that owners have a hard time getting parts for but these dipshits that have to ride the crazy loud sleds on someone else's property would just keep riding modified old shit that does not have to meet the regs. Something would have to eventually be done in these instances. And yes, some asshats will also just register a conforming sled and then take that muffler off to ride public trails but at least it met restrictions at one point in time and then make the penalties and fines much stiffer for registering a conforming sled and then subsequently modifying it afterword. Establish a fund with those increased dollars for enforcement and for clubs to have money to compensate landowners in an effort to keep trails open for everyone else. Those fuckwad's would then either just keep paying into the loud can fund until they can no longer register or ride a sled on public trails, eventually conform or just quit the sport and move on to something else they can enjoy while killing their ability to hear.
  4. Degrasse Tyson is a media whore but even he knows the earth is a sphere. Flat earthers would only agree that the earth is not flat if everyone else thought it was.
  5. Deterrent is not the ticket it's insurance rates. Personally I think cops writing speeding tickets is a complete waste of their time.
  6. One of the least intelligent posts I've seen on here and that takes work given how hard some like MC work at it. Anyone lucky enough to be born in the USA post civil war was born into a society that provides freedom and the best chance of prosperity even for stupid fucks that post shit like this.
  7. My parents are just previous to the boomer generation and have been collecting SS for nearly 20 years and I hope they collect for many more to come. I figure since I likely won't collect and have not been planning to it's good to see them benefit. The amount they get is not making them rich but it pays for quite a bit of their modest living expenses.
  8. I've done my own Delta study. Five out of five of us in my immediate family had it with a total of 9 out of 12 that attended the family get together three months ago. I can say the fucking test is worthless at detecting Delta and vaccinated contracted it just as easy as those that were not vaccinated. Made zero difference. The Delta definitely sucks if you get it. I finally got rid of all symptoms after 8 weeks. Some got over it faster with the youngest being affected the least which is why mask mandates and vaccinations for school age kids is just fucking dumb. The primary outcome of my study that was most positive was that 0 out of 12 had serious side effects or required hospitalization of any kind. Somehow we all survived it vaccinated or not and the benefit is we all likely have antibodies now vaccinated or not.
  9. Been doing my research for some time now and you have to look at crypto as a commodity like gold or silver. Yes, it needs to be a legitimate form of payment but far too many think it has to get to a stage where you buy a pizza with a bitcoin in order for it to be considered completely legitimized and that's not the case. How many people that have invested in physical or paper versions of gold or silver use it to pay for shit? An extremely small percentage and most of those are the actual miners of the metal that use it in that manner. The majority use it as an investment vehicle and as a hedge against economic headwinds in other sectors. My stake is a small percentage of my total portfolio but to completely write it off is something short sighted idiots like MC are doing. Then they stand back and gloat when there is volatility. They are doing this while others are making money on the investment. Gold and Silver went through the exact same volatility in the early days of adoption and then once mainstream they levelled off became less volatile and the ability to make decent returns also levelled off right along with it. I wouldn't touch gold or silver as a long term investment personally at the moment because of the crappy risk/return ratio. Crypto on the other hand has high risk but also high reward. For many that reward is worth the risk.
  10. Yes, it's awesome that N. WI is crazy busy. The bar and restaurant owners deserve to make all the revenue they can right now. It's a really tough job made even tougher by the shitbirds in DC keeping the gravy train going. At least the additional free unemployment finally ran out but the dipshit dumbocrats will likely find a way to extend it. Absolutely killing small business that needs people to work.
  11. Depends on what you think is bad regarding cases. Exactly one year ago there was an average of 2 cases per day in this same week of August now the average is 4. So while MC and his kind are screaming holy hell and spreading more fear that cases have doubled I'm not getting too worked up over 4 cases a day and that's considering the Delta is supposed to be far more contagious than covid classic...
  12. I used to think this when our primary boating was on the river but now that we spend most of our time on smaller lakes pontoons make a ton of sense when the boating is mostly slow speed cruising with lots of people on board. Heavy high powered boats look pretty dumb when it's two seconds on plane at full throttle to the next no wake zone or just doing circles on a small lake. We inherited a barely used 03' Bennington that came with the property and were going to immediately sell it for something else but decided to use it for awhile and now it makes zero sense to replace it specifically with the current market for boats being insane.
  13. Incredibly hard to watch our once allies condemn what the shitbird asshat's in DC have been doing while the bought and paid for dumbocrat press keeps sucking them all off and acting like this was someone else's doing or worse yet completely unavoidable. Fucking crazy. The shitbird biden supporters on this site are just as bad making excuses for them and acting like this is some sort of joke.
  14. MC, working hard every day to prove that stupid has no cure.
  15. No matter how many times their bullshit is debunked the flat earther will deny, deny, deny and then deflect, deflect, deflect. Cults are very difficult things to break free from.
  16. Best to heed your own advice on this one.
  17. MC watches that and his head explodes...
  18. Sorry, you started the thread you provide the required proof the cultist leaders are not just a bunch of fucking crazy nut jobs. The rest of us have every reputable scientist/mathematician/physicist/astronomist on the planet on our side......
  19. Prove anything using something other than your half baked pseudoscience or shut the fuck up.
  20. It's definitely thinking out of the box and I can see the attraction to having a pontoon with the ability to reconfigure the layout for different uses but the jet ski steering and throttle is probably the most dumb idea ever on a boat where the primary use is going to be cruising around the lake. I did not see a weight listed but they look really light and would get hammered on the weekends, especially on the river.
  21. Both hilarious and true at the same time...... Poor JT. He is still waiting on his pseudoscientist leaders to provide him with a working model to post in this thread.
  22. When taco bell got rid of the 7 layer burrito I had to finally write them off. Agree there are some places on that list that are not likely going under but last time I stopped at an applebee's the food was disgusting and the place was fucking packed.
  23. Interesting info? A fucking list of shithole eateries that were already going out of business long before covid came along.
  24. Flat earth cultists believe everything they are told and for what benefit? Nobody knows.
  25. Sorry. Don't need to. Actual science has already done this for me hundreds of years ago and to this day there is no real benefit to an alternative. On the other hand flat earther's just continue to lob their bullshit hoping to add more weak brained followers to the cult. The benefit to the followers? Nothing at all really but it creates a platform for the cultist leaders to assume some sort of power position that get's them off controlling the thoughts of others.
