  1. My mother. But she avoids freeways - raise ‘em!

  3. When they first started putting them in around here I was a bit skeptical but I have grown to love them! I’m one of those inside corner drivers, but only if no one else is in the area… there’s definitely a social learning curve, some get them better than others but some will always hesitantly stop. And those that think you should wait and watch, fuck those guys - there’s always more room than people think.
  4. Ha Ha - but in all seriousness, one day coming up 39 I saw maybe 10 cars, so on 29 I started running 100 to see how far I could go before I saw another car, first 10 miles, then 12, and so on. Took that 39N to 29W curve at 100, you know the one… For those who know the practice freeway in St Paul (35E south) where the speed limit is 45 I never got below 80… yeah those days are looooong behind us!
  5. Same - but will lean into it a little more for a pass. Oh how I miss the days of the plandemic and nobody on the road! I went through the OP’s town pretty much holding 100 for miles at a time!
  6. 2007-08??
  7. Pretty much just what his last X-post above says. At this point, can we just leave well enough alone through the election? This is such a waste of time.
  8. They aren’t mine - was just at my shock builder and he showed me a spring someone is replacing on a mountain sled. We both thought it was a bit overkill.
  9. The main podcast I listen to were just talking about that on I think Friday’s show (Garage Logic) and that exact point was made. “Kenny” even times his stop from freeway exit to freeway entrance and has it down to 7 minutes! Quite honestly when I’m by myself I do the same… I almost never go in the store! 😂
  10. Spring upgrade?? WOW
  11. That exact thought crossed my mind.
  12. Come on now, that’s not fair! You are going back past 1970, which according to some (ABC’s Ginger Zee has the “Since 1970” on all her graphics) is the baseline year for their narrative.
  13. I just don’t get it - “free free free” has to be the new liberal slogan.
  14. I was ready to turn it off about 30 seconds into Biden’s first response, but the little woman wanted to watch in its entirety. What a shit show.

I had to go through the carb on my gas chainsaw, and on first test just outside the garage door where I keep the garbage cans, as soon as I got it running and pumping out that beautiful 2-stroke, mosquitos came flying out from behind the cans like a swarm of bees… There had to be a couple hundred trying to escape the smoke in that little corner. Needless to say they drove me further into the driveway.
  16. Think Donnie will bring it up at the debate?? 😂
  17. Cliff notes on the price??
  18. And we’re just getting started… I remember talking with a local advertising salesman for CH 9 there in the Wausau area 15ish years ago. He said they are like starving dogs trying to buy as much time as possible, and how it is gravy times for him during election years…
  19. I have no idea how old this is - found it in the back of a cupboard above my moms washing machine last night. I can remember my Dad had a little cup of it next to his ‘work’ sink and used to use it to wash grease off his hands!

Years ago I actually put this in the back window of my car: AS SLOW AS YOU WANT IN THE RIGHT LANE —->

I was talking to my boss who has a place on a lake in Tomahawk (Nokomis), and he had 22 trees taken down last night.

Sure is… I don’t remember ever having water like this in the yard. Not fun mowing…
