Programming a robot to do specific tasks is one thing...giving a robot AI is on a completely different level IMO

We are there already with this technology obviously. Hell, I was designing Plant Layouts back in the early 90's that were primarily robot driven for welding and adhesive dispensing systems. Elon mentioned he is privy to cutting edge tech along the lines of AI and I think that's what he's ultimately referring to.

China overtook us as the leading manufacturer after our economy took a shit and it's not getting any better that I know of. They are great at producing cheap products but are starting to improve on the overall quality as well. If Trump is truly trying to reverse this then I applaud him but those tags suggest otherwise.
