I’m just using a company I’m aware of as an example. 25% of salary is a pretty good bonus, and pretty standard when you get to a certain level.

Sales are actually down a bit this year but profit went up. Hmmmm....couldn’t have any thing to do with those evil corps bennifitting the most from these cuts. You know, the thing you’ve been shouting from the rooftop since day 1.

Oh but they have changed, they bumped the bonus up from 25% of salary to 30%. And it was stated that this was because of the tax cuts. Also they’re paying out 150 % this year because the company did so well. Deny all you want, I’ll enjoy the fat check.

Slinger - So you're company doesn’t give bonuses, profit sharing, stocks, options? None of that? How do they keep people from leaving? And the fact that company is paying less in taxes has no bearing on their financial performance?

They sell flying cars now. Got a mil or 2 to spare?

What if the company is doing so well that they increase bonuses and payouts? Would that be considered trickle down?

I can’t think of any good reason to give folks money that are “unwilling to work”. The whole thing just sounds rediculous. Incentivizing people not to work sounds like a real recipe for disaster.

The salary’s are high here. It’s the only draw really unless you dig the city life. I’m going to take the money and gtfo when I retire.

Much easier just to say “Russia” and avoid any self reflection.

Anyone around here with a 2000 sq foot house of better is paying at least 10k. In the boondocks of Minnesota maybe not but plenty of others do.

There is good and bad in all these places. My first house was in Detroit on the last block before Dearborn. All the cops and firefighters that had to live in the city lived on that street. Anyone that came around looking for trouble got their ass beat by these guys and didn’t come back. I saw it happen several times.

100km range? Not going to cut it. Have to be able to do similar to a tank of gas, maybe 125-150 miles.

Talking is better than threats. This is a huge problem and isn’t getting fixed over night. It’s worth trying though IMO.
