I think a little good will delay in military drills would be appropriate.   In fact I'd say more than they have considering at least what NK is putting on the table.

nothing wrong with the B52's they have been upgraded over the years, solid airframe keep them flying, nothing like seeing a formation of B52's flying into a conflict to instill a little fear

They are a relic from the Cold War surprised they are still flying :dunno:

The B-52 is so over built that right now there is a push to re-engine the later models and fly them 20 or more years into the future. The plane could end up with 80 years of service.

The J57 or JT 3 D the civilian variant have been out of production for decades which makes parts rare and expensive. I think the plan was to use 4 of the CFM 56 engines which are the most common jet engine in use today.
