True Canadian and a great musician

Not a fan but he will be missed.  Too bad. Big ceremony in Kingston tonight.

Did not care for their music but wished him the best.  Sad.

Lots of good songs but that has always been my favourite.

Intense Gord

He has a way with words " it'd be better for us if you don't understand"

They don't know how old I am,
They found armor in my belly
From the sixteenth century
Conquistador, I think
They don't know how old I am,
They found armor in my belly
Passion out of machine revving tension
Lashing out at machine revving tension
Rushing by the machine revving tension

Morning broke out the backside of a truck-stop
The end of a line a real, rainbow-likening, luck stop
Where you could say I became chronologically fucked up
Put ten bucks in just to get the tank topped up

Then I found a place it's dark and it's rotted
It's a cool, sweet kinda place
Where the coppers won't spot it
And I destroyed the map, I even thought I forgot it,
However, everyday I'm dumping the body

It'd be better for us if you don't understand
It'd be better for me if you don't understand

Then I found a place it's dark and it's rotted
It's a cool, sweet kinda place
Where the coppers won't spot it
And I destroyed the map that I'd carefully dotted,
However, everyday I'm dumping the body

It'd be better for us if you don't understand
It'd be better for us if you don't understand
It'd be better for me if you don't understand

Let me out
Let me out

Let me out
Let me out

Let me out

In celebration of the life of the unforgettable Gord Downie, CTV will present the acclaimed film Long Time Running chronicling The Tragically Hip’s Man Machine Poem final tour this Friday at 8et/mt.

the last few months Wynnebag has gone off on a tangent before she speaks @ an announcement. Always something about indigenous people blah blah blah regardless of the subject matter.

Yep, Trudeau and Wynne are both legacy building.

I have no issue with aboriginal/indigenous peoples...... but they've certainly been apologized to enough, and the answer to their issues is not to throw more money at them.

My very old grandfather told me 40 years ago the only time you ever see an Indian or a Farmer on tv you can be sure they are asking for something. It was ok for him to say it because he was both. Lot of memories of that guy. He was probably 90 when he said it to.
