It sounds similar to what your son is doing . It's my daughter. My wife spent a year in h.s. in Switzerland so that's where the kid got it in her head. She originally applied to go to India, but didn't make the cut, which didn't break my heart at the time because not only did I not want to see her leave for a year at such a young age, but it would have cost us money we donn't really have. So she lucked out by applying through (AFS)? and got accepted by some organization called yesabrod, and the dept. of state picked up all the expenses. Bad part is she's living amongst and with a Muslim family. I hope they all prove me wrong in every aspect. Plane just pushed off the gate so i guess I am looking at a 1:30 pickup and bed by 2:30. He's got an MRI at 8:15 otherwise i'd have told him to rebook for tomorrow flight earlier.
