Then it’s a problem that Trump added a record amount in 4 years then isn’t it.
Specially since he claimed he could eliminate the debt in 2 terms.

Only because of COVID...still added too much.

We have the highest inflation in 50 years, yet you continue the stupid talk.  Prove one thing that has gotten better under the current dem admin.  Next list who the majority was in congress during the years you think were great.

The economy picked up where it left off after Covid on the same line.  What also picked up was the massive inflation forcing many back down toward poverty levels.  This isn't a good economy" it's one on the brink of disaster and has been that way for three years now.  The middle class is being absolutely destroyed right now.

Too hard for a TDSer to understand though.

is it the $4 eggs?¿?

does the government control prices of goods and services?¿?

we'd likely be in the same boat regardless of who lives at 1600 Penn

you're middle class aren't you, precisely how have you been destroyed ?¿?

don't get me wrong here, I'm not thrilled with the price of a trip to the grocery store either but I don't walk down the aisle grumbling about who's living in the white house when I can grumble at pure and simple greed under the guise of capitalism.

I'm probably not middle class.  I'm just not stupid enough to pretend things are going well for them.

elaborate....

restaurants seem busy, stores seem busy, people seem to be traveling... we're just paying more to do it.  people like to complain about the price of anything going up.  my grandfather used to gripe about the price of gas when it was 76¢ a gallon.

If I need to elaborate for you on who is being crushed by inflation the most, and always first then I cannot.  You lack economic insight to a point you won't understand it.

why don't you try proving a fucking point here just once?

let's begin with... inflation wouldn't have happened or wouldn't have been as bad if 'him' had been elected

Seems he proved it.

So, in the same way, maybe you should "prove" how the economy wouldn't be doing the exact same under Trump right now?  Right?  Yes.

My "efforts" here are more than needed already.  I don't need to hit each TDS retard in the left eye with my rocks...I just need to throw them at the bus windows.  :lmao:

Thats not an easy question to answer because it's a multitude of answers in a "free market".  Prices can be manipulated in any way but ultimately, consumers dictate except for things of necessity.  Those things are most commonly dictated by government policy and we know this because they continually talk about how they are doing all the can to lower the costs for the lowly peasants; healthcare, gas, grocery and housing....while doing nothing or the opposite most times.

So, to answer your question based on what I think you are trying to prove is, government.

Companies cut a 1/3 out on the contents and charge 1/3 more than it was when you got a full package.. Thats gouging and helping inflation. Was America better off 4 years ago? You bet your sweet ass it was and in a few more weeks you’ll see.

reasonable reply...

what would effect would a new 20% tariff on imported goods do to the middle class that's already being destroyed... or crushed?

someone running for the highest government office in the land recently proposed such an idea.

Trump’s Tariff Proposals Would Raise Tariff Rates to Great Depression-Era Levels

https://taxfoundation.org/blog/trump-mckinley-tariffs-great-depression/

Trump's bigger tariff proposals would cost the typical American household over $2,600 a year

It is but what it allowed them to do was offer their same products for the same price and it was actually ingenious for some time, and also needed due to their costs going up incrementally.  Bit now it's clear what they did and it doesn't look so peachy.

However, look at their profits now, look at the stock market.  We are all paying for that.  The ones talking about the rise in the stock market being a "win" under this admin are the ones too stupid to understand how it is working, AND AGAIN, It's at the cost of the middle class.

If you all cared about the middle class so much you wouldn’t oppose a more progressive tax code, pensions, universal healthcare, childcare, etc.  So spare the fake outrage
