Think this going to be a night race as there's lights here.  Looks like it clears up about 6:00.

They scoring by transponders?

Cuz I don't agree with that call!

Yes transponders.  They are supplied by Nascar and a crew member selects them off a cart.  Installed the day before the race with a Nascar rep present and in the same location in each car.

I was pulling for the 17 for the win but was a good finish.

Helluva  finish and I thought Beuscher had it but after watching the replay it looked like Larson got him by a Splitter hair.

Looked to be maybe 3-4 inches.

Interesting Dale JR download with Elton Sawyer yesterday.  The first part was more about his racing career but at the 50 min mark he starts talking about the inner workings of Nascar.  At 1hr20 he talks about Hybrids and getting another manufacture into the sport.  Said right now its a deal breaker for a manufacture to develop a V-8 pushrod motor but it seemed that the door may be open for a new manufacture to bring a different ICE to the table while the other manufactures still have the pushrod motors.  That would be interesting.

I’ll have to give that a listen.👌🏻

Also heard that Zane Smith will be leaving Spire after this year and going to Trackhouse…not sure how legit that is.

Is Spire much better?

I think Front Row is a notch above Spire. Especially with FR partnering with Penske this year.  :dunno:

That's what I was thinking. Maybe he left and Front Row wasn't asking him to stay. It's gotta be tough to be on those lower funded teams. I dont think I could do it. It reminds me of when Kinser left sprint cars to race for Kenny Bernsteins mess of a team.
